of Riz/Akshay with 1 of the top 10 ENG players, plus probably 6 or 7 of the next 10 (being 11 - 20).

by that you mean the best english players other than the icons ofcourse :)

our pace bowling attack looks extremely strong already.

Everything till now is perfect for us, batting is damn stonrg, bowling is damn strong and we've got quite a quality allrounders.

Bopara, Flinty, Napier, Johnston, Gidman are all quality allrounders while Broad can bat a bit.:yes:D

Whatever I've analysed till now.

Chewie: can be in a serious trouble because he don't have good enough domestic players and considering the fact that any INT player can't play more than 5 games out of 8, he'd be in a serious trouble, I feel.

Varun: Same as Chewie

Monzi: haven't bid, in very serious trouble, he can't win this.

WestIndian: haven't bid much but is getting all good players

Andrew Peters: doing great only if he can get a good balance of INT.

Akash: same as Andrew Peters though his team is looking great till now.

Bilal: trusting Irish players a bit more, He'll have to rely on INT. players

Viral: good, same as Aussie Team.

Callum Gray: bought Mascarenhas at a high rate, Trott a good choice, rest looking below average. Solanki and Foster can be the dark horses.
I think after INT rounds, he'll end up getting one of the best teams.

Akshay/Riz:A slight misunderstanding and lack of communication has made some little troubles for the team. Though the best thing is that considering the overseas players restrictions, the team is likely to be the best among all the teams here. They won't have to rely much on their INT picks, they already got a keeper and a good balance of allrounders and bowlers.
They have the highest potential produced by England - Morgan, the best pace bowlers for ENG ATM - Broad & Sidebottom, A decent batter who've performed recently - Bopara, Eng future ALL - Gidman, potential batsman - Moore, an par average bowler - Mahmood, great and disastrous allrounder - Napier, a really good bowler who can save the team's batting in critical times - Johnston.
And not to forget the best and the finest of all the allrounder Andrew Flintoff who will likely to be named as the captain of MCC.

Despite the auction not going according to plan for me, I think I've ended up with a good mix of good DOM players and some worse DOM players.
I've still got 2.9 mill in the bank which is more than a few other teams, so we'll be looking to pick up a couple of good INT players to go with some average ones.

TBH I don't think I brought Mascarenhas at a high rate, look at his List A stats:
(244 matches)

Batting - 4107 runs at 25, with 27 50's, I'll be looking to play him at 7/8 and with those stats he will be one of the best 7/8's in the tournament.

Bowling - 281 wickets at 26, with an E/R of 4.25. Great bowling stats, one of the best E/R's going around, more than useful 1st/2nd change bowler which is what we'll be using him as.

Also he's had some experience at the best DOM league in the world being New Zealand, with the Otago Volts.

Probably the 2nd or 3rd best genuine AR out of all the ENG players, behind the likes of Flintoff.

Our second massive signing was Jonathan Trott, again he brings massive experience with 163 List A matches:

Batting - 5516 runs at 46!!! With 11 100's and 36 50's. With those stats he'd probably be the best ENG batsmen going around stats wise. Yes I know he won't be rated with an average that high, but would probably be the 4th or 5th best ENG batsmen behind KP, Colly and Morgan.

Bowling - 52 wickets at 25, with and E/R of 5.6. More than useful 6th or 7th option with the ball, and a S/R of 27 makes him one of the most attacking bowlers in the game.

Also he's played in the best DOM competition in the world, also for Otago.

Other players:

Graeme Swann - Best ENG spin bowler, and probably the 3rd best in the world.

Vikram Solanki - 355 List A matches, over 50 ODIs not with great success, one of the best DOM batsmen going around.
James Foster - Very handy WK batsmen, probably not going to be a starter depending on who we can pick up in the INT auction.
Darren Maddy - Solid batting AR, good DOM record.
Anthony McGrath - Solid batting AR, good DOM record.
James Kirtley - Has a DOM bowling average of 23, easily one of the best ENG DOM players.
Glen Chapple - Like Kirtley he's a DOM veteran, also captains the best county in ENG.

Marcus Trescothick - was once one of the best ODI batsmen in the world, and still one of the best in the domestic scene.
Moeen Ali & James Taylor - two of the most promising young English batsmen, Taylor has an OD average of over 40, and Moeen provides part time spin
Steve Davies - in my opinion the second best keeper/batsman in England behind Kieswetter. Definitely worth his price.
James Benning - random signing based on his good OD record and part time medium pacers
Rikki Clarke - Hard hitting lower order batsman with pace bowling as a second string. Kind of like Luke Wright in that respect, and has international experience.
Samit Patel - one of the best spin all-rounders in the country, only reason he isn't the second English spinner (in limited overs at least) is cos he's fat.
David Wainwright - promising English spinner who has been called up to the Lions, and more than handy with the bat
Chris Woakes - one of the best young pace bowlers in the country, has been in outstanding form this season, not only with the ball but with the bat as well.
Charl Willoughby - a very good OD bowler, but may be past his best. His OD stats are outstanding and he has international experience with one of the best ODI nations in the world. Also plays for Somerset (where Taunton is) :)

They are probably the best young/A-team players in England. I should be able to grab a handful of great internationals as well because most people will only be able to go for one good player. I will be keeping an eye on budgets.

One thing - there are bound to be numerous people who will not have enough money. How will the players be distributed to them?

Just don't give them the players?
Make them play with their 10 DOM players they wasted all their money on...

Well I suggested that they be distributed the players of associate nations and Bangladesh and Zimbabwe...

Look at the list of INT players though, and there are some pretty average dudes on it:

Yes but I expect there to be around 20 players left over due to teams not having enough money...

huh, BCVS will see it, let's see how you both gonna have all your 8 INT players in just 2-3 million. Impossible, you'll end up getting the bold ones Callum.;)

It's not impossible. I should be able to manage it.

Oh Callum, you are full of it. I guess the NZ domestic scene is the greatest breeding ground of success though. You know, with all your World Cup and Champions Trophy wins. Not to mention your ICC rankings.:spy

I will back your team based on the fact that you signed Dimi though!:D

It's usual that Callum always comes up with the "NZ DOM cricket is the best thingy".

Though Dimi is good enough if you're going to bat him at 7/8.:p

@ Biggy - I was actually just trying to work Akshay up as he got annoyed at me yesterday when I said NZ DOM was better than IPL, which I actually believe it is.
I would say NZ DOM is the 4th best, behind AUS, ENG and SA.

Don't you only have 500k?
And you're going on about it's imposable with 2-3 mill.

I'm sure every post you make you're like bcvs will see to it, like he's going to come along and save you.
