Good to get a win in the end but should have easily won by a larger margin as we dominated the game. Iniesta missed a few easy chances which was disappointing but capdevila was the man of the game. Spain have an absolute gem in him. Also Villa is a far better player than Torres and must start ahead of him if Aragones plays one striker upfront.

I have to laugh at the pathetic attempts by the BBC to encourage England fans to watch Euro 2008 by "supporting another country"!! The only way I'll do that is with Italy, but it just isn't the same as England. I didn't even know that the damn thing starts this week. If England were there, I'd know the start date, first match and date of England's first match. Oh well, having the TV flooded with footy is good, even if England aren't there...

There's nothing wrong with supporting another country, obviously it's not the same but it's still fun to follow one. Especially if like me you'll actually be in the country you support getting pissed most of the summer.

Anyway the injurys are coming as usual, with the euros I don't care, but if the world cup is supposed to be the pinnacle of football then why is it full of tired players playing nowhere near their best?

Why do people want Croatia to win? Hmmm would you rather England played a full of confidence European champions or a dissapointed Croatain side who stil have serious doubts about their abilitys?

The World Cup is the pinnacle of football in terms of achievement. And the players are tired because of the exhaustive club campaigns.

Spain playing the USofA in about an hours time. I was not very impressed by our defensive display in the game against Peru. Hopefully its sorted out and maybe Aragones should try starting Albiol.

Agreed, we should hope that Croatia have an absolute nightmare. I won't be supporting them!

Thats my point though, the world cup should be the pinnacle in every sense with great teams and great players but the majority of them are tired and worn out playing nowhere near their best. Their needs to be more of a break from the end of the season and maybe they should change the formats of some competitions and leagues to suit it.
