Failure of the Decade

The Indian media.

It should actually be "The Indian Regional Media."

There's no denial to the fact that our regional newspapers and TV channels are all SHITS. And it's usually these moronic channels which serve as the main instigator to the effigy-burners.

But that has nothing to do with our national channels like CNN-IBN, Headlines Today etc or national newspapers like "The Times of India", "The Hindustan Times" etc. Our national media is in fact one of world's bests.

I will say Shoaib Akhtar though he has been one of the quickest bowlers in the world this decade and picked up wickets but I think Akhtar could have played more matches and picked up more wicket. I think he was a rare talent and was not fully utilized.

Well Shoaib Akhtar runied his own career by doing stupid things like sleeping with dirty girls and doing drugs so he can blame himself for his Failure.

When Pakistan walked out of a test against England.WC 2007 for all forgettable reasons. And,recently the Kotla pitch.Shame!

2007 WC has to take the cake.

Would have to agree, it was a failure on so many levels. From the organization, to the individual team failures (Pakistan and India), to Bob Woolmer being found dead in his hotel room, Brian Lara being run out in his final innings.

Not sure too many people are bothered about the last one.....

Yea not as much as the other ones but I'm sure Lara and allot of his fans would have liked for him to go out in style and cap his great career with a solid score instead of getting run out.

And I'm sure people would prefer it if Charles became King sometime before he died, but sometimes life is tough like that.

SA ODI side did some pretty big ones. Favourites in 03 and 07 and the same for the Champions trophy. Didn't make an impact in any of them.

As if they were favourites in 03 and 07? They defo failed in the Champions Trophy, made two bets with my friend; that we would do better than them andthey wouldn't make the group stages and won both :D

And how about their T20 WC failure? PLus choking in a number of big test series, such as the series against us to become No. 1.

Joint favourites, they definitely had the favourites tag especially after our performances before the tournament.
