Give Player Manager a go - it's miles better than Player Career - I'm having a blast with Wimbledon AFC. :D

For anyone who hasn't played Fifa PC since the new patch was released, upon loading Origin, act fast to cancel the update you can see it downloading and make sure that you click 'clear download' as well. That will protect your game from this patch, which sounds to me like the worst patch ever released. Not good enough, EA.
 
Ugh, nobody will take my youth academy players on loan (short or long). They are just languishing on the sidelines now so their ratings don't go up and their morale goes down. I can't offer them game time because my A team is too strong and my B team is still much better than my reserve players. I don't know what to do now except sell/release them and buy them in the future. That would be a huge waste as I've spent a lot of money buying the best scouts. I could have just used that money on transfers if I knew this was going to happen. This is manager mode btw.

Loving Ultimate Team. Never realised how fun it was.

I'm quite lucky as well. Opened my first gold jumbo, and got Balotelli. Opened my second and got Nasri. If only I was a Man City fan:p. Hopefully next Silva.

Sold Nasri and he basically financed my dream team.

All perfect chemisty and all have 4-3-3 as their preferred formations, and Song is a CM. So completely perfect chemistry, other than having Mata, Reina and Enrique.

Just need Van Persie now to replace Chamakh, and my team is complete. Will take a while though. Wouldn't mind Evra in place of Jose Enrique as well. Wanted a full Arsenal XI, but that wouldn't be good enough, as Szczesny is only 78 and not shiny, Arshavin dosen't cut it (and Mata is awesome), and Gibbs and Santos are only 75 and not shiny.

Oh and the Impact Engine is a joke. More frustrating and buggy than a good addition. Sick of my players falling over and then conceding possession or possibly a goal as they can't chase the ball.

I also managed to sign Hamsik for 800 coins. I could easily sell him for triple that at a good time.

Strange - my youth players are going on loan frequently - unless they're crap, which is realistic. Maybe this is a stupid question, but have you actually given them a professional contract (so they're available for the first team)? I'm pretty sure they can't be sent on loan until they've got that.
 
Yep, I've given them professional contracts. I have managed to send two on loan over the past 3 seasons but it's been the same 2 players each time. The others also have immense potential but I can't offer them game time so it's been 4 years and their ratings are pretty much the same. I think I'll just resort to stealing the youth products of other teams. More than enough money to do so.
 
God, Mertesacker is so bad in FIFA 12! He's so bloody slow, his pace level is only 39! He's cost me so many goals where the opposition gets in a through ball and he can't keep up.

Going to replace him with Kolo Toure.
 
Not as good as the tribute video to the "powerhouse" Emile, but still, made me chuckle :)
 
Yeah, saw that a while back. Absolute genius. The Metro have done loads of FIFA based articles. Clearly a lull in good stories...
 
Just a sidenote.. If you play 2 player manager mode above professional be prepared to lose a friend.

I swear it causes brain snaps, brain damage and fights. The cpu seem to be able to control possesion 60% of the time. Then on the rare moment you get a chance its been a whole half of football and you make a meal of it.. resulting in your partner to go bananas. :facepalm
