bit different too doing it every day, though than 1 off hand comment. Not sure why Liverpool are involved either, I don't remember them saying anything at all. My personal opinion is that Ronaldo will stay for one more year at United and Berbatov will make a late move for a deal in excess of 25 million pounds. And Real Madrid will do the smart thing by signing Van der Vaart in the end. He is just way too good for Hamburg.

I don't see the point of Ronaldo staying at united for another year, I expect he'll have a much worse season than last year, (last years was nearly impossible to follow up on anyway) and he's not fit. His value will go down over this season so we might as well get as much as we can for him.

Totally agree with you there mate, Ronaldo was very unlikely to beat what he did last season even before his injury. He may come back and score a few goals but his best years at Man U maybe behind him.
Also, M_Vaughan, watch out Real may get reported by Hamburg for you saying Van der Vaart should be Madrid's target.

The difference is m_vaughan, that we've made an official bid for Berbatov, and United have made it public, nothing wrong with that, unlike Madrid who are trying to turn Ronaldo against United.

Berbatov won't make much of a difference to United as they have enough World Class in Teves (vital goals), Rooney (in the Bergkamp mould - not a tenth as sexy though), Ronaldo (twat) and Saha ().

Yep, next year is their year, they've turned the corner.

We just need more options to be honest, Saha can't be relied on, and Ronaldo (if he stays) should play on the wing, leaving us with two proper strikers (Manucho unproven), Berbatov would bring something new, while giving us numbers up front.

How is saying someone is a target a crime? As long as you dont talk to the player without the club's permission.

Anyways looks like Real have agreed to sell Baptista to Roma now for 15 million. Good players but not good enough to play ahead of Sneijder, Guti, Gago, Diarra and now Rafael Van der Vaart.

Looks like we'll get Van der Vaart for a cheaper price as well, so overall good deal done by the Madrid negotiators!
