Football Transfers Thread

He's hardly going to say he doesn't like playing for City and is annoyed about what happened with Kaka. You didn't need to link me to that article, I had seen it.

If what Robinho has said was true, why didn't City explain that and stop all rumours when he first went.

Robinho tried to blag his way out of the situation, that's why. He claimed that he tried to gain permission, but the City spokesman made it clear that that wasn't the situation. Robinho's gone back to Brazil with his family for his Birthday, but will be back in time for the Newcastle game on Wednesday. If he was unhappy at City he'd have come out and said it, like he did at Madrid, he came out with it as straight as possible and said that he wanted to leave Madrid. He'd have done the same if that was the situation, but it's clearly not.

So he's gone out of the training camp without being allowed to by City, good dressing room that is.

Alot of foreign players do it, Yakubu, Essien and I'm sure others. I'm sure he would have gained at least verbal permission from someone within the club, but he's bound to get a clip round the ear from Hughes when he does come back. Bit inconsiderate of him to just leave a training camp abroad to go celebrate his Birthday only a couple of days before a Wednesday match. Suppose he's not used to missing the Christmas break that they get in La Liga.

A lot of foreign players do it, yes, Tevez and Anderson did it at Christmas. What they did do however, is get permission. How are you sure he got verbal permission? Are you in the know or something?

Was just abit of conjecture, exactly what you've been doing by even trying to make a massive incident out of it. I just don't think a player of Robinho's calibre could leave a training centre like that without having even verbal permission, without a massive story coming out of it. Mark Hughes would have come out and condemned him if that was the fact, but he's remained silent on the issue, meaning it can't be that serious.

To be fair though, it has been MASSIVE.:D

Not really. It was a 1 day story, that's not even a featured story on the BBC Sport site or RSS feed anymore. Massive stories stick around near the top of the story list for a while on the BBC site, it's barely on there anymore. It's a nothing story, and Robinho has quelled any rumours that he left the training ground because of City's failure to sign Kaka or that he's unhappy at City.

6/10 for City. It was a good leap but they fell flat on their face.

Hull sign Bullard for ?5 million. Great signing, great player. One of the most underrated players in the world. ?5 million is a great price for him imo.

Yeh, club record. I wanted Everton to sign him, would be a very useful addition to the side. Moyes has done nothing in this window yet, although it's rumoured that we might be getting Hugo Almeida in on loan from Werder Bremen. Fingers crossed.
