Football Transfers Thread

Zenit are knobs.
SSN are knobs because they can't tell a straight story.
Arsenal are knobs because we never know what's going on!

Jo's move to Everton on loan's been confirmed =) Been needing a decent striker for a while, and although he's not played much for City, he can't do much worse than Anichebe. Good goalscoring record with Moskow as well, could be a good signing.

And when he comes into form he will return straight back to us

Rumour has it that Liverpool may sign David Villa from Valencia. If so Liverpool would have one of the greatest strike partnerships in the world, if not the best. Would be a class signing by Rafa.

still some deals being done cos of the extended deadline...arshavin looks set to join arsenal apart from that Zenit want half of his signing-on fee...and keane looks set to join spurs for about ?15mil...
not many big signings in this trasfer period tbh

1731: Transfer snap: Robbie Keane has rejoined Tottenham from Liverpool. That is official.
well that looks sorted than...but what doesn't look sorted is this :( VVV
1728: Nervous, nervous moments for Arsenal fans, these. The Associated Press are saying Zenit spokesman Alexei Petrov believes the deal for Andrei Arshavin has broken down. We are awaiting confirmation, though.

It's not confirmed yet whether he is or isn't. It's been a crap Transfer Deadline Day. Still, these two quotes made my day:

1125: More Forest news - Championship rivals Bristol City have turned down a bid for striker Dele Adebola.

1536: I'm still reeling from the fact that Forest aren't even good enough to sign Dele Adebola. That might take some recovering from, I can tell you.

:D

Chelsea have made a smart move and signed a wide player, getting Ricardo Quaresma in on loan from Inter! Good signing that.
a player who even mourinho couldn't get the best out of, what is scolari supposed to do with him...i know he is a class player but will he adjust to the english climate and physicalness...we will just have to wait and see:rolleyes:

and good to see the arshavin saga finally comin to an end:cheers

The biggest shock according to me was Stefano Guberti chosing to go to Serie B team Bari instead of Fiorentina, Juventus and Roma. Few days back it seemed absolutely certain that he would be a Viola player. How could Prandelli let this happen? How?

He says he joined Bari, because they are a team with ambition. So what Roma, Juventus and Fiorentina (playing European football) have no ambition?? What exactly does he mean by ambition?
