Football Transfers Thread

How is he greedy for wanting that move? He wants to test himself in a better league with a good team (not that Zenit aren't), and he'll be much more in the public eye and able to show the world what he can do in the English league than the Russian league.

Oh yeah, and I bet Spurs are laughing all the way to the bank with the profit they made on Robbie Keane, worth ?20 million, you're having a laugh.:D:D:D:D

WC, you do amuse me. He's taken a pay cut lol.

I'm not convinced he'll be an Arsenal player. There's plenty of time for Sky Sports News to make up stories, rubbish them and contradict themselves a few times.

Well Arshavin has joined Arsenal and he calls it a dream move. How many dreams does he have? Or maybe the Barca dream was actually a nightmare.

Arshavin is a greedy scum, he told his dream move would be Barca but he wants english money.

Maybe it's because he didn't join one of your 25 teams, WC? No worries, he's not as good as he's hyped up to be but considering he was 'worth' ?26m in the Summer, we got a good deal.

Anybody hear anything about a ship going from Southampton next week, they say it's unsinkable. Think it's called the Titan...something?

David Villa to Chelsea? A British record transfer fee? Will that happen?

David Villa: Proved and established himself in spain. But coming to England, the soccer gets harder to score goals. Also he took almost all penalties(they get often) but again in England every club has its penalty takers, so he wont get most of it. Overall he is not youth neither old, he is around 28 I guess. No a bad choice definitely, but will that happen? Also imo,
Villa > Torres.

Villa >>> Torres.

Anyways in confirmed news, Cannavaro's contract has not been renewed and he has signed a deal with Juve. Must say if they are expecting the same player they sold to us in 2006, they might be disappointed.

Nevertheless, Cannavaro played his role on our title triumph of 2006-07, so thank you and wish you all the best. World Cup winner, mind.
