I hope the first ??? is Aly Cissokho who has been strongly linked to Liverpool. I hope the second ??? is Mata but it seems as if Arsenal have moved ahead of Liverpool in the race to sign him. Downing was superb last season and would be a good addition. However, 20mil is a bit much for a player with decreasing value. 25mil for Mata is an investment worth making as he's 23. However, 20mil for a 26 (turning 27 this month) year old may not be great business.

Far off from 'confirmed' - sort of a middle path you have to say. Apparently Macheda yesterday tweeted saying he hoped to join Sneijder at the training complex when we woke up the following morning, but SAF's squashed any such rumors linking Sneijder to Man Utd.

Doubt anyone here bothers much about this but I'm extremely delighted with this.

All that they need now is to be able to play in more games in the upcoming season. Hope to see Josh being utilized in a more advanced position rather than being used as a Deep Lying Playmaker like Ancelotti tried to do!
Yeah but I think he is much better in a more advanced position and besides, he doesn't really have the physique to be playing in the DLP role just yet.

Hella' yeah. Close to what, 10 years now.
Yup, heard about that + we resigned Bertrand for another 4 years. To be honest though, with the exception of Josh last season, we've been utter tripe in the handling of our Youth academy + trying to blood first XI players. Lately with Abramovich's expectations, the managers we're hiring don't have the balls to play through our Youth or even 'fringe' players (ie. Sturridge) - hopefully this changes under AVB. I believe he is pro-youth? Sucks we loaned out Bruma though for a season loan at Hamburg, will probably benefit him more anyway rather than him staying.
