Football Transfers Thread

Well, two seasons ago, Man United kept on getting own goals. They had like about 10 IIRC at the end of the league season, prompting fans to create an "imaginary" player called "Mr Own Goal" or something like that. So, you get the idea? :)

Aguero to City, what a waste of talent.

A silly move by him really.

Other news though, word is that Porto knocked back an 80 million (Euro) offer for Hulk. Geez, they really take their 100 million release clause seriously.

It would be silly of us to spend that much on one player, regardless of how much his release clause is. Would be better of splitting up that amount to get several quality players in.

Man City = Dzeko, Balotelli & Aguero for the upcoming season - which doesn't account for those leaving (ie. Bellamy, Adebayor, Santa Cruz, etc.). I just can't explain in words alone how utterly stupid their moves to City is - bar Balotelli who I believe should rot there - and whether or not they noticed the revolving door of 20+ million dollar players leaving after a year or so.

Onto Hulk though, I second that. Lets just hope it wasn't Chelsea making that bid. Hulk is good, but not worth that.

dunno where to post this but has anyone seen the water logging in the India UAE match's pitch today? It was a water garden, I've never seen such a wet ground ever in my life.

what the hell is wrong? the UAE guys look like they've just got out of a mud bath, chocolaty....oh well.

Too bad they India don't use the multi million dollar JNH Stadium they used for Commonwealth games.

Hulk for 80m. Somebody's still thinking Hulk is a green giant grumbling monster.

He's a good player though, don't think a release clause defines a player's worth.

like Torres.............................................................:spy :wave

Poor Adebayor.

What is happening to Neymar? His story his dying.
It looks like Chelsea are making their final offer for Modric. And what is all with the Mr.X AC Milan are pointing to?

Neymar told he'll be staying at Santos and this was supposedly the last report off his mouth. There are stories surrounding his agent's denial in that but we'll just have to wait and see. Santos will want to make the big clubs get their grab for a little extra to pay, so I think if anything has to come out of Neymar's transfer rumours it has to be at the near end at the closing of the transfers season.

Lol, Milan WERE obviously eying at Fabregas and snatch him from Barca but that whole talk fell off as recently as today.

Barca have done a good job signing sanchez, they wouldn't want to waste all their time banking on Cesc if in case the talks fail.

Prepare for more drama from Man City next season. Can't wait for the first episode to begin! :lol

I believe "Mr. X" is in relation to Ganso, don't know who else it could be that they would class him as a top priority - plus it wouldn't be Montolivo, since they've only offered 6 million + half rights to Paloschi.

As for Modric, I hope we nail him this time. I pray to God he keeps Pastore away. Apparently his agent is coming to London to discuss personal terms.

Now Lassana's linked to a Tottenham switch. If that's the case coupled with a Modric stay at Spurs they can be a threat in the league. Madrid are so overloaded, I like Diarra but there isn't much room for him there.

Look at the midfield region, Khedira, Ozil, Canales and now Callejon and Sahin with a versatile Altintop to stand up before him. Hope Gago finds his way back home and add to that Mourinho's not done with signing more footballers yet.

Please get Adebayor if not Neymar :p

Any news about Dudek's next stop? Such a legend.

Diarra is an above average player, if he doesn't start, as exemplified in his stays at Arsenal/Chelsea/Real Madrid - as a result of his performances mind you - he complains and henceforth leaves. Given the quality of Tottenham's midfield he might find himself on the outer again IMHO.

I agree but he's pretty good at counter attack if he once finds himself in. Juventus are now keeping an eye on him. I'm impressed how they progressed with the signings so far.

Corinthians say they will bid for Tevez again in January. Man City are junk.

Pastore has been sold to PSG for 43 mil euros, we have missed again on another player, courtesy to Andre Villa Boas.

I just realized Fernando Muslera went to Galatasary for only 6 million + Lorik Cana.

What idiots Lazio are, he carrys.
