Football Transfers Thread

That prize should go to Real madrid. 7 year old leo....

that messed me up. He's a kid, and here's one reason I don't hang on football news sites often. Every site i could find this article on wrote as if he's a genuine grown up footballer signing for a club.

you know what I mean, look at this sentence:

"7 year old Leo signs up with Real Madrid. He's expected to take part in the training from Thursday"

I couldn't find a place where there was none of this "genuine writing". Made me sick.

but hey we have a leo :D

I don't quite follow what you are trying to convey here.

I think hes trying to say the manner in which a signing for a grown 16+ professional footballer is just the same as if it were a 7 year old, right?

From Wilshere's twitter:

JackWilshere Jack Wilshere
Don't understand why Chelsea brought Mata when they have a player like Josh Mceachran in the squad! Class player #justsaying

That's just like saying "Don't understand why Arsenal bought Gervinho when they have a like Jack Wilshere in the squad! Class player". :facepalm

Man Utd have said they're done with their summer shopping - I'm quite happy with how the squad is looking.

OK, De Gea's not had the best start, but he looked a lot better against Tottenham and he wouldn't be the first player to start slowly at Old Trafford. Remember Jaap Stam? At the beginning, he was bloody terrible, but went on to become a really solid defender for us. Same for Patrick Evra, and even the great Peter Schmeichel had a dodgy start apparently as well; too far back for me to remember though. :)

I don't think Sir Alex would've splashed out so much on him if he wasn't pretty sure of his abilities - I'm sure he'll become a solid player for Utd. His distribution even now is fantastic; with any luck the team will play well enough to win while he settles in even if he makes a few errors.

City can not stop spending money :facepalm

Mertesacker could be in line to move to Arsenal. Should be a great move for them if it pans out.

How is it vintage Wenger lol? He's 26 and South Korean captain. Hardly inexperienced. They've also signed Mertesacker who has 75 caps for Germany and Santos who's Brazil's first choice left back.
