I actually agree with him, Newcastle have signed some very talented players. Cabaye especially is a fantastic buy. Santon and Marveux can be very good if they stay fit and Ba is a very solid player. Not getting anything out of Barton seems like a bad deal but they've got a better replacement.

Sold Carroll, signed Ba
Sold Barton, signed Cabaye
Sold Enrique, signed Santon
Sold Nolan, signed Marveux

That looks pretty good on paper.

We've improved in one area we needed to and that's at LB; Santon is a fantastic coup but he'll be gone after a good season or two if Ashley is still running things. Fair enough. However, Demba Ba was the best of an incredibly bad bunch last season at West Ham, therefore doubts about his quality are still rearing their collective heads. Impact player at his very best, for me.

Ok, try to identify the clubs from the numbers given below, which represents where they finished in the Premier League from 2002-03 to 2010-11. No cheating, as mentioned earlier :p

4 2 1 1 2 2 3 1 2
5 4 5 3 3 4 2 7 6
2 1 2 4 4 3 4 3 4

Fair point on Ba, everyone looks good when compared to Carlton Cole. I do think they could've signed another forward but have done well with the players they've brought in.

That was easy. Here's a relatively tough one:

Which is branded "the most ill-disciplined and explosive fixture in the Premier League"?

And the derby between which two Premier League clubs is referred to as the "Black Country" derby?
