I can see him playing in the number 10 role and Rooney moving further forward. With him, Rooney, Nani, Welbeck, Valencia and Hernandez there is a great variety in attack. Another central midfielder (probably won't happen though) and Utd will be set.

Well, we have our playmaker now - all we need is the midfield ball winner. :)

What if he's played in the central midfield? He'll certainly need to adapt to that position.

He's not. He's playing at number 10 with Rooney pushing up most likely. Saw it in a Japanese interview when seeing if he wanted to go to Arsenal:p.

He'd be an idiot to go and play in central midfield. Might occasionally play in the wings though, especially if Nani leaves.

Got to love SAF's ruthlessness, it is really what sets him and Man Utd apart. When Berbatov and Hernandez were doing fine, he brings in Welbeck. When Welbeck is doing fine, he brings in Kagawa.

A lot of other managers wouldn't want to do that, but SAF only settles for world class and not just fine.

Hurry up and snap up Yann M'Vila or Javi Martinez before Bayern/City/Arsenal get to them. Otherwise you'll have to settle for second rate or just an average player.

Capoue wouldn't be too bad at Utd either.

Why won't it happen? Question marks still over a lot of the midfield, surely SAF is not going to rely on guys like Cleverley, Scholes and Fletcher to win him the title, all for their own reasons. Plus Anderson looks like he may leave.

I've expected it to happen for the past 2 seasons and it hasn't done. It seems Utd have turned their attention to Modric now but Fergie just won't accept the price Spurs want. I can see this going on all Summer and Utd eventually giving up.

Modric isn't really the ball-winner to complete the jigsaw though. They should turn their attention elsewhere, as it's clear they're short on numbers there and the guys currently in just aren't cutting it

I see both Modric and Bale staying. The fees asked for them will be just too high. I doubt even Chelsea will pay 40 m again.

Still, Utd can easily still win the title without the final midfielder. What with Vidic back alone being enough.

Sigurdsson to Swansea is off for now.

Sad too see, would've really helped Swansea.

You're being too blind.

Although you actually slightly have a point.

Maybe - after all if Vidic wasn't injured for half the season, we would've won the title this year, no doubt about it - he was actually injured and couldn't play - unlike someon else - Argentine, plays in No.32 shirt... :D

However, I would be happier if we were to sign a ball winner as well. After that, I think we can put our chequebook away. City shouldn't be too cocky - Utd are never more dangerous than when we've just lost our title.

If Anderson could stay fit and not put on the pounds when out injured or if Cleverley was not made of glass but at the moment, Fergie can't be relying on those two staying fit or Fletcher making an unlikely comeback.

It's a clear weakness and he needs some fresh legs in there. Capoue's a good shout, he's been very impressive whenever I've seen Montpellier this season.

Vidic coming back will be a huge boost. It's amazing we've done so well without him (a lot of the credit should go to Ferdinand for that) but he's definitely been missed in the key moments, such as Evans being bullied in the air by Fellaini or Smalling losing Kompany at that corner.

I think that's being harsh on Evans who was outstanding throughout the season. I think that his performances made Rio raise his game as he had a bad start but really became the solid as the season progressed.

I agree that a workhorse is needed in midfielder as Utd were clearly over-run in key games and Fletcher won't be back anytime soon and Park is on the decline. I have no faith in Anderson anymore, he's been given numerous chances and only shown glimpses of quality.

I thought it was the other way round. Evans has been very good this season but it seems fans overlooked Rio's contribution as a result.

I think next season is Anderson's final chance to have a consistent role in the side, otherwise he'll be forever doomed to squad player or worse, sold off.

Fellaini would be a good addition to United too I guess. He has already played in the BPL, so he doesn't need too much adapting.

Plays for Toulouse:p. All the more reason he may leave anyway, Toulouse have Sissoko as well who is young.

Really :lol:lol:lol:lol:lol??

Yes finally good signing :Dafter spending millions

Yes, really. You won the title on goal difference, Vidic alone would've been enough to win the title. Even Fletcher.

And Sigurdsson isn't 100% certain to be a good signing:D.

Comon 8 goals is still a massive thing in now a days football we all know and if your saying united will win easily next season is rubbish you cant forget chelsea with all their massive signing whereas we will have a look at transfer market:p so nothing is for granted who knws because when utd were having 8 point lead going in last few matches and then who won the league we all knw so that is the beauty of this league so for me it will be interesting season to watch rather than utd domination because certainly now world class players prefferd position is not old trafford example is hazard:D:D
