Football Transfers Thread

Yeah it's so ambiguous every time he says anything.

Though we do know he is interested in both Cazorla and Sahin based on his ambiguous comments.

Word is Sahin is now going to the US with Real, so I doubt we're in for him. He rejected Spurs previously as well saying he wants CL. So looks like either he's agreed a move and he's going on pre-season, or he's staying with Madrid. I bet it's the latter and I'm not too worried. Great player, but would prefer a guy like M'Vila permanently as opposed to Sahin or loan.

Looking real likely that we'll get Cazorla though.

Knowing that, I posted typical Arsenal.

Yeah, Juventus definitely know they have a more realistic target in Jovetic.

City should get him ATM, Mancini is cringing for signings!

Do City really need RvP though? If anything, I'd say Utd need him more - City have got an established World Class front pairing in Aguero/Tevez, with good backup from Balotelli and of course they have Dzeko as well, but I can see him going this summer.

Apparently, City only want to go to ?150,000 wages, whereas RvP wants ?220,000.

Crazy. Money. :facepalm (Not just RvP, footballers in general).

Supposedly Modric to Real is done. 45 million euros. Almost as bad a deal as Kaka was.

Makes me angry that we sold a far better player in Fabregas for 30 m pounds only.

Anyway, surely means Sahin is out the door now.

:facepalm:facepalm:facepalm:facepalm

And in the meantime, we're chasing a striker (RvP) and a midfield playmaker (Moura), neither of which we need! Cleverley's an attacking mid, and so is Kagawa! Cabaye would be perfect!! Maybe Sir Alex is going to give that job to Jonesy.

Doesn't look like Baines is going to happen - now there are rumours about Ashley Cole to Utd? Can't ever see that myself, but I would certainly welcome it.

In the meantime, De Gea still appears to be making too many mistakes coming for crosses.

Any club in the world should try to hijack the Debuchy deal, I believe it's just 4 m pounds. Makes sense if Debuchy wants to go to Newcastle though, assured of a starting spot and gets to play in the most French starting XI in the league, as well as with many mates. I can understand if he has his heart set on them already.

Cabaye would be good for you, but he has years left on his contract and would cost a tonne. Plus he doesn't want to leave.

There is a certain amount of prestige being involved in the best team your club has seen in recent history. Newcastle are in that boat finishing above the likes of a money-rich Chelsea. This is one of the main reasons why you still see guys like Hummels and Gotze at Dortmund.

So with that in mind, to get him would be a worse overpay than the Lucas Moura deal. I'm thinking maybe 25-30 m+, as well as huge wages above 100 K to convince him to jump ship. He's only been there a year and Newcastle will bleed you dry for him like they should.

Not worth it, go get Javi Martinez if you want to overpay for a player. He is younger than Cabaye too and would be more willing to a move.

Nowhere else to put this, but New Zealand Olympic team vs Brazilian Olympic team tonight.

I'll probably watch it, but it's going to be a complete mess. Shane Smeltz trying to score past Thiago Silva and Ryan Nelsen up against the likes of Neymar, Pato and Hulk:lol.

Thank god I'm not a passionate NZ supporter.

Already heard about him, was a guy with potential. Good to see him go to Feyenoord, could be a good player in the future.
