And you're rivals are now gonna sign Lloris.

AVB is great at stealing other's transfer targets.

Lloris was never coming here. It was a deal between Lyon and Arsenal to drive the price up:lol.

Good player for Spurs but he's just like De Gea, great shot stopper but weak and terrible at coming out for crosses.

Will get battered against the likes of Stoke. Still, if they get him, that's four keepers and Friedel can easily play the tougher fixtures.

Back from a long vacation and boy, I was right about RvP joining United. Puts a frown as soon as I smile about it. Still have high regards for Arsenal, Carzola's looking like a beast, and I hope He stays at Arsenal for the forseeable future.

There's an odd rumour that Cesc would come back, lol, I don't know but it has a very bad taste about it. Other than being a barca fanboy there was no room for him to play there in the first place. Don't see him coming back so soon.

Wow this is depressing, from possible title challengers a few weeks ago when we had Cazorla, Giroud, Podolski, RVP and Song, as well as Sahin in the bag, to this:facepalm.

have to agree on that, one hell of a lineup with Arshavin and Walcott in the next pack, but all over again Arsenal fell back on their face.. surprisingly none of the obvious didn't leave as yet, Chamakh, Squillaci, Park..

Agreed on Lloris, but there's no way they'll play Friedal for big games... He has literally no presence when the ball is lobbed into the box, and these days he doesn't really cover enough of his goal so needs replacing sooner rather than later.

Be a good signing I think, I reckon he'd settle quicker than De Gea did.

He'll be allowed to settle, unlike De Gea who was just pushed into the first team quickly.

Not big games, tougher games. Against the likes of West Ham and Stoke, Lloris would get murdered, Friedel should play then.

As Bevab says it'll be good for Lloris to have the initial competition of Friedel.

Oh, and I remember in July you said I was deluded for thinking Lloris would sign for Spurs;)...

I can understand that, Hulk is most likely trying to avoid Zenit like the plague. One of the most racist clubs in Europe if not the most racist. Don't know how Bruno Alves plays there. The fans can't stand the sight of black players.

Yann M'Vila supposedly received death threats from the fans of Zenit after they made an offer for him.

The obvious will leave on deadline day as they will clearly be last minute options. Squillaci isn't going anywhere, his wages are too high and the club will hold on to him for a year to avoid paying another club to take him.

Walcott isn't signing a new deal but is staying and will leave on a bosman next season. fearsome tweak him.

Arshavin is bloody awful and hopefully he'll go too.

I'm sure we'll be fine but another dire start to the season is inevitable, and with top four competition higher than it's been for a wild, we may pay. Fully expecting losses at Liverpool and Man City.

Important news for us, moves for Bendtner, Chamakh and Park will be finalised soon, freeing up three spaces in the squad we didn't have. Juve want Bendtner, Besiktas want Chamakh and Celta Vigo want Park.

Still reckon we have a chance of one very good player. Fingers crossed for Lars Bender.

And I saw this somewhere.

Balotelli: "I can't wait for transfer deadline day. I'm just going to drive to as many stadiums as possible just to confuse journalists"

So Balotelli's going to troll the journalists eh? Gotta admit that made me laugh!

I'm not impressed with Berbatov's attitude though - according to Sky, he was due at an medical with Fiorentina but never turned up - and that's after the Italians paying for the tickets. Now it sounds as though he'll sign for Fulham. We won't get anything like the ?30m we spent on him though - we're going to make a huge loss on him.

Yeah, the fans completely went berserk on him. (referring to Berba here)

Martinez deal is certainly crazy, 40M euros on him is daylight robbery. A good player, but not worth 40M. He even broke the German transfer record of Mario Gomez. Also, he's not a sure first-team option.

And QPR are now going to sign Granero.

Shouldn't be surprised to see them in a state similar to Portsmouth years later.

As long as he makes a mockery of the British Press, I wouldn't mind appreciating this guy.

Liverpool set to snap up ?1m Leverkusen youngster Yesil | Mail Online

Hmm, so far, Rodgers has bought from the EPL, La Liga, Eredivisie and now the Bundesliga. Is Serie A next?

Looking forward to deadline day. I don't think the Walcott move is going to materialize but Liverpool could secure Dempsey. I'm not sure how much they are willing to pay for him though. He is an aging player so I would hope no more than ?5-6mil.

While I am happy that he Rodgers has done quite well in the transfer market, I'm a little worried that the squad may be a little too small at this stage. Liverpool have lost Kuyt, Maxi, Aquilani, and Bellamy. They look set to sell Spearing and Adam as well. While I would argue that all of these players except for Aquilani and Bellamy probably needed to go (although Rodgers wanted Bellamy to stay), there probably haven't been enough reinforcements.

Let's just hope West Ham stay up.

QPR sign Cesar and now Granero. What a deal of Cesar, specifically. They sure are turning the heat on the mid table teams. For once this is good ownership, use the money to bag good deals and keep the team fresh.

Funny Barton who'd been the big man for QPR last season now is an obscure face in the squad. That red card wouldn't have changed much in the case, they're just taking their squad to a new level.

If attitude was any bad that was United's, sadly. He isn't supposed to be in the place he found himself in the first place. For once I hope he makes a U turn and stay at United. :p

Just to point out Barton was nowhere near the big man at QPR last year. The fans hate him because he was average at best for them. Never seemed like he was really trying and didn't contribute much at all.

I really wish Dimi would find his way back to Spurs, he's clearly still far too good for Fulham.

Joe Allen is looking so special right now. Another outstanding game vs Hearts. 15mil might look like a bargain after 2 seasons. If I was to venture a prediction, I'd say he might become the signing of the season (not based so much on his fee, but based on how Liverpool would do with & without him).

Liverpool still keen on Chelsea's Daniel Sturridge - ESPNFC

Would be great for Sturridge since i can certainly see him starting, but Chelsea spending another 20 million on Schurrle is a bit OTT for all parties. Chelsea surely have enough wingers now and that young German if bought will warm the bench.

Oh yea, as the case was in the 90s and early 2000s with Giggs, i'm going to be cursing for the next decade wishing Allen was English.
