fee and personal terms agreed with bryan oviedo, 22 year old left back who can play left wing too.

Some reports have the fee as 5million, which seems a lot for a back up player. But we need a left back to cover baines as neville/distin is a bit of a stretch for cover seeing as they play a lot in their other positions.

Rumours of N'zonzi on loan too, that would be a solid move aswell.

Some truly outstanding deals there for you guys this window - for half the Rodwell money.

Anyone hearing this stuff about Man City btw, supposedly they expect to get Maicon, Javi Garcia and Nastasic, plus they have already got Scott Sinclair and have sold Nigel De Jong to AC Milan.

Spurs on the verge of completing Moutinho and Lloris, after sending VDV back to Hamburg.

Arsenal meanwhile, expect no signings according to BBC. Diaby-Cazorla-Arteta is our midfield. Kill me now...

QPR sign Cesar and now Granero. What a deal of Cesar, specifically. They sure are turning the heat on the mid table teams. For once this is good ownership, use the money to bag good deals and keep the team fresh.

Funny Barton who'd been the big man for QPR last season now is an obscure face in the squad. That red card wouldn't have changed much in the case, they're just taking their squad to a new level.

If attitude was any bad that was United's, sadly. He isn't supposed to be in the place he found himself in the first place. For once I hope he makes a U turn and stay at United. :p

Fair enough, but Utd didn't make him miss a medical after a club paid for his flight, did they? ;)

Sky is quoting ?4m for him. ?4m, after buying him for around ?30m! I was expecting a loss, but not more than ?24m! :facepalm

yep. It's disappointing that we won't have a net spend yet again, but we've made a step forward while breaking even, which doesn't happen often.

The fee is now reported to be 1.2 million not the 5million bbc thought, which makes a lot more sense.

quite surprised van der vaart has left spurs, I think that's a mistake. losing modric was unavoidable but that doesn't sound like it was. moutinho has come in but he's not going to provide the goals VDV did.

he's had a bit of patchy career really, should have been a lot better.

And the legend Bendtner leaves your club on loan, again!!:p

Berbatov left united for fulham hope he as a great future there :p

also maicon signed for man city, at last mancini will be happy that at least he signed a one big player after loosing adam johnson and de jong

?4m for Berbatov - that's one bit of business that really didn't go well for Utd. Bought him for ?30m+, sold him for ?4m. :facepalm

Bit disappointed not to see any attempts by Utd to sign a ballwinner today, but maybe Jonesy can do that job when he gets back playing.

Gutted to see Berbatov leave but it'll be good to finally see him play regular football again. Utd treated him really poorly tbh and he was totally professional all throughout. A class act who was a joy to watch when he was given the chance.

City are making up for their quiet summer now. ;) They're making signings all over the place today!

Clint Dempsey has signed for Spurs for ?6m - great signing for you Spurs fans! And talks for Moutinho are ongoing. In the meantime, City are racing against time to sign Javi Garcia.

I'm guessing AvB wants to implement his favourite 4-5-1/4-3-3 and there's no place for vdV in that system, nor his high pressing strategy with which it's normally used.

I still can't believe we're signing NO-ONE. Bloody CL will be incredibly tough at this stage.

I can't believe we let Dempsey go over 1 or 2 million, especially considering the number of players sold. Squad is far too small at the moment. Maybe he will dig into the reserves.
