Football Transfers Thread

apparently tottenham asking for morata as well as 100 mil. good on them, real madrid played their hand too quickly and aggressively and tottenham are right to take them to the cleaners for it, money is nothing to madrid, they just vomit it out endlessly, good to see tottenham asking for something they value in return for Bale.

According to a most reliable source (The Daily Star), Utd are in 'advanced' talks to re sign Cristiano Ronaldo. I'd feel a lot more confident if that was coming from The Times or someone like that. Still if that is true, then the Fabregas thing worked brilliantly as a smokescreen, whether by design or otherwise.

From Real's point of view, could they realistically have Bale and Ronaldo in the same team? Don't they both prefer to play on one side?

Seems that 'Paper Round' agrees with that thinking:

Ronaldo on verge of rejoining United: Bale's imminent signing for Madrid is tied up with Manchester United's pursuit of Ronaldo, the Daily Star claims. In a 'world exclusive', the paper reports that United and Real are "locked in advanced talks" and "have spent the past 12 days negotiating an ?80m package", after David Moyes made an enquiry two weeks ago - and found the Spanish club open to negotiations. The Star adds that Ronaldo?s departure would explain why Real are prepared to break the world record to ensure they clinch the signing of Bale.

Paper Round's view: Madrid are certainly intent on getting Bale, and should the Welshman arrive at the Bernabeu, it does beg the question: is there room for both players? Ronaldo loves being the star attraction and with Bale around perhaps he would lose that mantle. A move back to United would ensure he would be top billing once again.

If all that comes off, then Bale to Madrid is a great deal. :D

Daily Star isn't even remotely close to being classified a reliable source, let alone the "most" reliable one.

Haha, my bad. I'll admit I went right down to the "Paper round" part of your post after reading your first sentence involving Daily Star. :p

No problem mate; nothing will probably come of it, but the phrase 'advanced talks' is... intriguing. ;)

He's much worser than Suarez in terms of controversies.

Costa--Sturridge--Suarez
----------Aspas---------

That would be a hell of a psychotic front 4. :D
