Story Full County Season - Yorkshire

oh bumflaps, well im loving yorkshires batting line up anyway Muahahahahaha

Day 1 Session 3 (Yorks 1st Innings)

A short blast of heavy rain, ruined the final few overs to be bowled in the day. Oddly enough the players did return to bat out 2 more overs. Vaughan was clearly unhappy about that decision, and rightly so as he edged one through the slip cordon for four. Getting 360 could be a tall ask for the batsmen on this pitch, with the bounce unpredictable one of the top three will need to make a big score.

Day 2 Session 1

Yorkshires runrate has been impressive, Vaughan looks in leathal form. And whilst Warwickshires medium bowlers have frustraed the two opening batsmen, they have at times, along with waqar bowled to straight. It took 65 runs on the board before they adopted a respectable fielding position. Yorks, at present look in a good and steady position, the run rate standing at just under 4 runs per over. Lets hope the rain steers clear of the ground as a close match looks on the cards. Vaughan reached a well earnt 50, one interesting point to note is flemming has yet to hit one boundry

Day 2 Session 2

Warwickshire's bowling improved dramatically. The pitch is causing problems for the batsmen, who have yet to play one backfoot shot succesfiully. Anything wide and short of the stumps is left well alone. Vaughan and Flemming put on a tremendous opening partnership of over 100. Vaughan is getting more and more watchfull. Which is just aswell, because as soon as flemming departed for a well grafted 51, including only 1 4, the wickets began to tumble. Lehman, Mcgrath and Harvey all fell in quick succession, all trying to play them selves in with defensive shots. The stupidly low bounce is being exploited by ashley giles to great effect. White came into the crease shortly before tea, with a different tatic. Hit every ball possible, and thusfar its working. Still alot of work to be done though with vaughan looking for his maiden century of the season.

Day 2 Session 3

Yorkshire continued at a steady rate, despite the run rate dropping down to just over 3 runs per over. Vaughan worked hard, and made a fine century. White continued to play his shorts rather than blocking. It didnt last though, yet another low bounce and incredible spin saw him leave a ball that nipped back and crawled along the pitch to hit his pad. This sparked a mini collapse. Vaughan top edged a sweep shot to the man at backward point. Yuvuraj played all around a straight one, and hoggy was stumped try to get to the ball before it died and lost its bounce. The pitch is getting worse and we are only in day two. Then came a brave mini fightback in the form of blakey and silverwood. Its been ugly, but Silverwod is still there, he's obviously been given free credit to swing at anything wide of off stump, and it shows, 4 of his boundrys have been kicks through the slips. Not that Yorkshire care, they are steadily approaching Warwickshires target of 360.

All over, after 1.2 overs. Only a few runs added.

Silverwood caught in the covers and blakey stumped.

Some good batting there, held together by a few partnerships, look to bowl them out for a very low total because with the pitch deteriating it will be very hard batting last.
