General Cricket Discussion

Smashing the bowlers and made a legend like Vettori look really average. That's the class of Tendulkar!!! No doubt why most of the people who have watched him bat have said that he is the greatest after Sir Donald Bradman. Infact Sir Don himself had said that Tendulkar was like the shadow of his when he batted.
Is Vettori really a legend though? A legend of NZ cricket yeah, where you’ll rank him in the greatest spinners of all time, seeing that youre turning up old youtube videos, I take it you have an opinion on all time cricketers of the past.

Tendulkar is not even the greatest bat out of India. Keep on saying Tendulkar is the best does not make him the best, the guy is a bloody fraud as far as I am concern. Looking forward to your Vettori ranking though, unless you try to weasel your way out of it!

I did not post anything for your approval. :thumbs

So Bancroft admits to the surprise of no one that the bowlers knew about the ball tampering incidents. No wonder Starc looked completely toothless since the home Ashes for three consecutive series' until he had the opportunity to deal with the hapless Lankan batters at home.

That Bancroft is a Tool. Proper tool.

Here is a link if anyone wants to have a read on good old Bangerz:

I feel incredibly sorry for him. I've been a young player in a hierarchical dressing room and believe me, those are the teams that always suffer. There is a bully culture and a superiority complex and without realising it, you inherit that and expect the same if you survive long enough to be in that position. It takes an incredibly thick skin to change that culture and this is the main reason why I absolutely admire Tim Paine.

Bancroft is an adult and he should have thought better, but in my opinion, he was just told to do so and I have no doubt in my mind that he would have had the boot if he refused to put his neck on the cutting board so to speak. All that drama at the time about so and so knowing was a complete and utter joke and this is also why I was so furious with the whole "brain fade" episode that transpired in India. I openly called them cheats and if anyone digs out that thread they will see how I was abused for saying so. It was premeditated and planned and it was extremely dumb of people to believe otherwise. Kohli had clearly said in his presser that it had been going on for a while and all it required at that point was to order an enquiry and have the umpires testify whether Kohli had complained earlier. If he had, then sandpaper gate would never have happened because Smith and co. should have been given a 1 or 2 test match ban then and there. The ICC is a proper joke. Look at how much disrepute cricket itself suffered in Cape Town? Nobody even remembers that series as Morkel or AB's last. It's just for the wrong reasons and Cape Town was really bad but what happened in India was worse. Ironically, sandpaper gate was the anniversary of brain fade. Unbelievable!

Cant help but feel the ECB should tell them to stuff it. Any chance the IPL gets moved with the shoe on the other foot? I can't see it.

Bin this years IPL, move on to next year when it should be safe, should probably never have happened this year anyway.
They have zero shame to even consider restarting the IPL this year given the situation in India!

Just my appreciation post for Darren Stevens. Belted another century, 190 off 148 balls. 9th wicket partnership, of 161 where he scored 160 of them. All at the age of 45. What a mad lad.
