General Questions Thread

Quality, so I can mix and match until Saturday comes around, noice, cheers pal.

you lose 1500 for firing and 1500 for hiring... as long as you mix and match without hiring or firing then its fine...

I like to know how many managers here train their players after 21YO in primary nets? If so, is it worth to train 21YO with 2 primary nets? or I should change the trainee..? :what

Depends on what your after... probably not for you but if your a bigger team you have to

I usually stop 2 primary nets at 20, dropping it down to the 1 primary net. How long you train him with that 1 net is up to you. Depends what level you want to end your player on.

Should I train him or just keep for bot bashing? I gave him 1 batting and 1 fielding net and he popped fielding to respectable, so does that mean it will take a long time to pop his batting and concentration?

Destructive players

An opinions about destructive players?

I trained a destructive all-rounder for a few seasons, but I'm really starting to get frustrated with him, especially his bowling, often gets smashed around for too many runs and doesn't dominate against weak teams like he should. I have also tried changing his bowling orders to defensive, but nothing seems to work :(

Well there can be a few things. Firstly what are his skils, and what bowler type is he and similarly do you prepare pitches which tend to benefit his bowling type or not (not a good plan if he isn't your main weapon). What orders do you normally use on him?

He is a FM bowler, superb bowling and proficient consistency. I am in division 5 for OD, so he should perform much better than he does.
I have tried all the orders and the flat, green and dusty pitches. Today I tried the uneven pitch and he was my most expensive bowler, weaker bowlers were more economical again

At first glance I'd like him to have more consistency, but it won't make a huge difference.... Div 5 in what country? Hell if you were in SA with a bowler like that he'd single handedly demolish teams. Have you tried him on the various orders for more than one game tho, sometimes you can't tell straight away. My last question is do you have any idea what the skills are of the batsmen he tends to bowl at are?

What country are you in? In England or Australia he's nothing special for a V. Also, how much have you tried him on different orders. You need a handful of games to make any sensible judgement, don't discard any order after 1 bad game on it. What's his stamina?
