Firstly, staying in your current leagues rather than promoting would certainly benefit your team, if you don't mind the 'moral' - arguments. Campers are quite unpopular and the game is changing to make it less appealing. I'd always promote if given the oppertunity, but that's just me.

I think those nets on those players are excessive, I'd be amazed if they can't be put to better use elsewhere in your squad. Possibly leave them on 2 primary plus the others but 3 is a waste. Look out on the transfer market for comp/comp/comp players for a few k over the next couple of weeks, stick them on 1 primary net each, wait a couple of seasons and you'll have a decent backbone to your side.

So personally you wouldn't agree with 'camping' in this league but it would benefit me?

I think you've got the right idea in training lots of players on one or two nets each, but some of your trainees aren't worth bothering with. Arnold, Brayson and Earle all have rubbish stamina, which will take ages to get up (and you're not at the moment). You'd be better off replacing them with players with mediocre to competant stamina, primary and secondary and sticking them on 1 primary net each. There are loads on the market this time of year, will cost a few k each.

That sums it up pretty well.

Will Arnold, Brayson and Earle sell? Because I am in debt and should probably make money before spending.

I doubt they'll sell. It'll only take 3 or 4 k to replace them, surely you can afford that? It will make you millions in the long run.

Even if you miss them, players of the sort will be knocking around for a couple of weeks yet.

A few of them were very expensive eg over 25000 pound (don't know how to do pound symbol on this computer and can't be bothered finding one) for players that I bid on guys just as good for 1000 and 4000 respectively.

Find guys that are
17 yo
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: worthless
Bowling: mediocre Consistency: mediocre
Fielding: worthless

And vice versa for a batter. They should cost you 1k and are trainable.

Will a players skills go up by playing/playing well? So if a player isn't having nets but is still playing in most of the games will he pop? or do only players who get nets pop?

Skills only pop with nets.

Experience however increases with games played and also for 'playing well'.

You can pretty much take Tuhob's word as gospel, he developed probably the most commonly used training calculator that there is atm.

Btw, Tuhob welcome to the forums!

Btw, welcome to the forums!

I'm hoping you mean battrick forums cos otherwise I have been here for nearly 2 years :p.

But yeh, I got into battrick about a year back but I just couldn't get into it with my school not allowing it through the filter, now with me moving on it's a good time to get into it and really give this a good go! My other question is how many weeks does a season last? Is it about 15 weeks and then the new season starts 2 weeks later?

Was directed at Tuhob actually :p better edit my post.....

16 weeks, the changeover in seasons happens in the last week.
