Story Go Tigers Go - A Bangladesh Story! | ICC Cricket World Cup 2011

Well seeing openers doing well for BANGLADESH i think its a of batting surface and helps the bowlers about 35% of 100 so i feel a comfortable victory for India and ocne again good presentation mate :)

you can have super over in ODI. :D it should be 10 overs long for ODI.

we should do that in test as well, 50 over of super over in test :D

jk!! !!!! :facepalm

Thought this was dead, Welcome back User.

Bangladesh's biggest enemy are they themselves :facepalm
It would be a success if they manage to take half the Indian batting order down. Should make this game interesting at least!

Sorry guys was a bit busy yesterday evening and today whole day. No updates today, Sunday might be the day.

Like I always say, " There are no time constraints in story forums ". :) So, this game is looking one sided at the moment - i.e. there is only one side dominating the arena like the writer here. ;)

Cheers mate. Yeah, I'm taking my time here. Didn't get any time today as well for the updates. Hopefully tomorrow I'll finally manage and India would get to bat after a long long wait. :D

Idea Cup 2010
Bangladesh Vs. India
ODI Match @ Sher-E-Bangla Stadium,Mirpur.

A bit too late?

Bangladesh were wrapped up for 122 runs and that meant Indians needed just 123 runs to win the match. Most of the people were assured of a comfortable Indian victory and many already felt that this will be a walk in the park for the mighty Indian batting line-up. Plus, who was to open? Viru and Gauti, a head-ache for almost all the bowling attacks in the world at the moment. Both of them came out to bat as it was the turn of Indian supporters to make some noise.

Gautam Gambhir faced the first delivery. A gentle drive straight to the fielder. The body language of the Bangladeshis already looked discouraging as Gambhir smacked the next ball for four. Shahadat Hossain bowled a couple of good deliveries to come back well. Last ball of the over was a wonderful yorker which left Gambhir surprised as he was bowled for 4. Sehwag started off in a typical 'Sehwag style' with no footwork but a great hand-eye co-ordination. He made his intentions clear from first ball that he was not gonna sit back there and relax but he will try to hit every ball out of the stadium. He was successful once and other one tried went for four. But, as we know Sehwag is Sehwag! He tried once again to smash Hossain but this time he hit the ball straight to mid-on fielder. He was out for 14 runs.

Openers were back in the hut and Kohli and Yuvraj were the two new men out in the centre. Virat Kohli looked to attack the bowlers as well. He also sent one sailing over the ropes but again got a bit carried away and was deceived by a slower one from Shahadat Hossain. Yuvraj Singh completely mis-judged the length of the ball and was bowled by a straight one from Hossain. Shahadat Hossain got all the 4 wickets and was bowling pretty well.

Indians were 53 for 4 when Raina joined his skipper Dhoni to guide them further. Both the batsmen stuck together playing their shots and rotating the strike frequently. They have put on a 23 run partnership so far for the 5th wicket to take Indian total to 76 for 4 after 12 overs. Both are not out on 17 runs each with Raina striking at exact 100 while Dhoni not too far behind.

Bangladesh did manage to get some wickets but one might think is it a little bit too late? Well, we'll find out soon as now it is the mid-innings break. Stay tuned for 'The Cricket Show' with Sanjay Manjrekar.

Great bowling by Hossain. Bit expensive but he is taking wickets. Dhoni and Raina are playing well in the middle,India have lost wickets but still they are the favorites.

Though India is the clear winner in this match , I praise Bangladesh for taking early wickets and Great bowling by Shahadat! Also, good writing , I really liked the first two paragraphs of your writing.

A spirited reply from Bangladesh, but it is already too late. Dhoni is a responsible batsman, the only way he is going to go to the pavilion is when the game is over. An error I noticed, :

Indians were 53 for 4 when Raina joined his skipper Dhoni to guide team to the victory.

From this sentence I thought the game was over, it isnt though :)
