Group E - England, India, New Zealand, South Africa

:D

This tournament is just a bit of fun, as for losing the home test series, India played the better cricket, and played the best cricket by an away side in several years, they tested us and our batsman couldn't cope with their bowling, that isn't Moore's fault.

I know its fun but we still want to win and when it comes to the big games it's just the same old England! India played the better cricket but we shouldn't have allowed them too, we needed to play like we did at Lords where we coped fine but we decided to play crap instead :p Adding the fact that Colly ends up in a lap dancing bar in a major tournament it really seems like some of the lads don't care about pulling on the shirt. I would drop Freddie, tell him he doesn't deserve to play for England until he's 100% fit. No county cricket or anything. He might have a long break from cricket for like a year or more where he just trys to get really fit and work on his ankle but what we would hopefully see is a Fred better than ever. It doesn't help that he has so much responsibilty with the bat too when there are people who have been batting better than him and are probably better batsmen batting below him.

Stuff that, if you can bowl all 4 of your overs (He could of today, Collingwood appraently cocked up) and go for 11 off 3, your fit enough, if you can play through the pain barrier, not being a wimp, then you deserve to play more than anyone.

If someone pulled out because they had a graised knee and were 99% fit i'd be the one having a fit.
I doubt 4 overs a day will do to much damage either.

He'll never play a test match at this rate though and thats what matters to me and most other England fans

Thing is Joe, we've tried all the other routes, face facts, Freddies ankle is never going to be right again, we have to man manage it. We need him more in ODIs than we do Tests.

We've been poor in this tournament, but us and India are the only sides to have done anything since the World Cup, the players look a bit tired, the batting? Yes it's been poor in this tournament, but I think the biggest problem for the batting has been the running between the wickets. I don't think I've ever seen it this bad. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm not fussed about England playing poorly in tournaments like this, you can't read too much into such a short game. Likewise with our summer, despite losing the Tests to India and the ODIs to WIndies I thought we improved as a team, we're showing a good unity. I can't wait for our attack this summer to be Anderson, Hoggard, Broad and Panesar! Maybe Rashid as the all rounder in Sri lanka.

are new zealand in the next round. i have been working it out and if africa win against new zealand and india win the last two games. all three teams will have two and then wont it go to run rate

Remember Flintoff the Aussie killer in 05 and then think about him never playing in them again, it hurts doesn't it? We can't give up hope yet!

Broad won't get in the test side because the selectors are nobs and prefer Tremlett. Fletcher would never have let our running between the wickets get this bad too. I like Rashid but i think he needs a couple more years in county cricket, the same with Mustard and Luke Wright imo.

Flintoff needs some time off.
He shouldn't have been playing this t20 crap. Its all a money-making scheme anyways. Should've given it some rest and come back even stronger.

Shewag
Gambhir
Uthappa
Dhoni
Yubraj
Kartik
Yusuf Pathan
Pathan
RP Singh
Sreesanth
Harbhajan

For heavens sake! DROP AGARKAR

if shewag is on song then he can punish any bowling attack and thats what india needs espcially in thesse two games. how good is new zealands run rate. on cricinfo it seems that agarkar will play.

they can drop players like shewag, pathan, h singh and m patel but how come they cant drop agarkar. would not mine if he performs today though.

Flintoff's ankle can be right again, and it's all very simple with what needs to happen, the doctors have been telling the ECB for three years about what needs to happen.

Flintoff hasto be given a year off, an entire year not playing competitive cricket. He needs to remodel his action so that his entire body weight doesn't turn over his front ankle which causes all the probems.

my god New zealand cocked that up..

unlucky as Kemp was plumb LBW to orams first ball
and was caught behind , both given not out..

england out, may as well go out swing V india..no pressure
