Grp B 1st Round: England vs Pakistan

auwais, you can't quit...there are no prizes for quitters in this world as you will quickly learn. there is no point in being despondant, you have to keep telling yourself and believe in yourself that you can and will improve. Just look in real life - did you see zimbabwe give up after their first innings capitualition of scoring 94 against England? no, they came out next inning and battled there way to get 250. Do you see Bangladesh throwing in the towel every time people criticise them for not being up to standard for losing every game by an innings? No you don't see that either.

Having the heart to play is half of the game, only the other half is skill. You must not quit auwais, please listen to these words and I have every faith that you can do much better - even if you don't, you should never give up, because people who at least show good heart win credit for that, and everyone on these forums I know will at least give you that. Please don't give up.

So really the fault of my loss was because of the new "you can use a team of your choice default or not" rule.

what do you mean?

well, played shailesh, I really hope auwais gets a win very soon, my fingers are crossed that it won't be the length of time we will be waiting for bangladesh to win a cricket match of any recognition  :D sorry auwais, but you should read my above post before giving me a mouthful of backlash B)

hmm..good encouraging words..but I hope we see it! Ideally before they head to Australia.. :wall:

no, I think Bangladesh are just unlucky, they really have had a tough ride into test cricket, I think their first test win will come against England in four months time, now that would be funny  :D

hey, auwais, i was in your part of the world on sunday, i went up to Northampton to see some motor racing at Silverstone with a lady "friend", it was very nice....and so was the racing

Really? Well now you know how it looks! Thanx for your words and I can confirm I will still be playing since seeing that Tareq can win a match and sonic's words. But it will be a long time for my first win and I am maybe the youngest person on this forum and switching from PS2 to PC is a big change too.I might even try and set my controls like Rangeela for luck. But this time good luck. The only cricket game I've played on games consoles is Brian Lara Cricket.I've played Brian Lara Cricket and cricket 2002 on PC.Maybe I should have had a partner like sangam and kar_ind in the sharjah cup but who'll want to be my partner? :(

I will be, we can certainly play together. In future tournament we can play as a team and back up Pakistan all the way!!!

Just keep on pluggin' Auwais!! It is better to have tried and failed to have never tried at all. You can only get better mate. And with these field settings it is suicide to sweep when those two men are up inside the circle waiting for the crumbs. If i've learned anything from my practice matchs, don't even think about sweeping with those *******s there!! Good luck buddy!
