Anyone managed to get online? I've created my character but can do nothing else due to server issues which is understandable with the amount of people trying to get online.

It's getting timed out.

Not too many will leave it for a few months I think. Rockstar should get more servers.

It's getting timed out.

I had to try multiple times on X360.

The problem is the first mission when it gets stuck on "waiting for player's". Nothing will happen after that. I kept it running for an hour

If you do get a little ahead and it changes to "loading" just leave it there. Was able to get through in 20 min after that

Since then its been a breeze with no issues. Played racing, team death match, last man standing, few other missions which included stealing car's.

Tip: to earn good cash sell car's at Los Santos customs and steal grocery stores cash register

Its the best online game when it works

Hey, I have problems, serious ones. I decided to play solo online and I got outta the plane to the place where the race starts and my character automatically went to the marker to start the race. Then a car came and a guy got out and I got in, all automatic. Then it shows a city view, little blurred and hangs there. WTF? I restarted and tried to no avail

Its trying to start the tutorial for you in solo. It never works

Select the normal GTA online, let the character walk to the blue circle, if it goes to loading and gets stuck there, let it be. It will work as it worked for me

Other thing that people have said worked for them, is deleting GTA online update file which is 39mb and then re-downloading it. Not sure where that file is on PS3

Its hard to make money online. Rockstar have been very stingy. Missions mostly pay $2k and if you die you lose money from bank account

Got lucky in few races and killed some guy with $9000 but still only made around $50k

I managed to get online yesterday for the first time and apparently a patch is due at some point today to fix some of the issues

Did have this problem, but working with no problem now.

Online game saves into the cloud server in 2 instances.

Either quit using the pause menu and then exit or switch from online character to offline one

Haven't had this problem since doing one of these

Rumours indicate that GTA V will come to PC early next year - IGN and the Mirror are two of the sources. OK, the Mirror isn't really what I'm going by, but IGN aren't likely to get something like that wrong.

I'm watching the Angry review right now - this game looks special. It looks a lot better than GTA 4, which I couldn't really properly get into to be honest.
