Hindi Cinema Discussion

I dont think we can compare a movies like Madras Cafe/Bhaag Milkha with movies like CE/Dabangg. They are clearly made for different audiences and required a very different frame of mind for the viewer to enjoy it :)

I personally loved CE. And I loved Bhaag Milkha too. Both movies delivered what they promised and entertained me in their own way.

One thing that I liked about CE was the lack of toilet humor. There were no sexist, fart, etc. jokes and the movie did not have one of those super vulgarized item numbers.

On recent hindi movies - I would recommend D-Day. Its an excellent suspense/thriller with top performances from Irrfan Khan, Arjun Rampal

Ankur Arora Murder Case- Super movie based on the consequences of doctors' negligence. Excellent Acting by Kay kay Menon!! Two :thumbs for it!!!

Chennai Express- An out and out comedy/ action movie which I loved...Awesome acting by SRK and the tribute to #thalaivar was superb! You will start watching it happily and will be happy when the movie gets over too!! Two :thumbs and Three :cheers to it!!!

Indian cinema is going very great i really like it very much they Indian movies songs and dance are very good to watch this is very proud to Indians.

Krrish-3 tonight! The reviews for the film are very positive with most critics giving it an average of 3.5 to 4 stars. I loved both Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish (KMG obviously a lot more; but Krrish was very good). Hope Krrish-3 lives up to the franchise's reputation.

Splendid trailer! The Dhoom franchise couldn't have got a better fillip. Aamir Khan looks smashing good in those circus scenes, and we all know how good he is at emoting. That dialog "Main Ghar aa gaya Baba" was brilliant. Abhishek is also good (he is good when he is in the Dhoom series). Kat looks good. Uday's only presence in films is the Dhoom franchise.

I think its going to be spectacular.

Watched Krrish-3. Being a fan of the franchise, the new installment 'Krrish 3' didn't disappointment me one bit. ABSOLUTE FUN RIDE!!! The first half was particular brilliant and left me waiting.. The second half is a slight dampener with the typical "villian vs hero" sci-fi fight fest, but still the sci-fi was spectacular and proves that Indian sci-fi is leaping forward quite positively.

Contrary to reports, the film didn't remind me of other sci-fi films from Hollywood. Maybe they might have been taken from Hollywood sci-fi (Hollywood is always the benchmark for sci-fi), but where Krrish 3 was successful is that it keeps the viewers glued to the story. Maybe some people went in with the intent of comparing it with Hollywood sci-fi films (trying to compare which film is it taken from, etc). Its still very much an Indian movie with all the emotions, sentiments, drama, romance, action but presented along with jaw dropping sci-fi. Hrithik is a FREAK of nature. Can't be like him! Amazing.... Vivek Oberoi should get a big lease of life with this film. Can potentially resurrect his career. Kangna has a very good role and does well. Priyanka is wasted. Might have as well made her a fleeting cameo like how Priety Zinta did in Krrish. Missed Rekha. She has been another integral part of this franchise. No song stays in mind, and first time Rajesh Roshan disappoints in his brother's film. Overall, complete paisa vasool!

Watched Boss. I would be generous if I said it was a 'okay' film.

Have plans to watch Krrish 3 next week. Lots of mixed reviews around....

Watched B O S S ! and KRRISH 3. In Boss Akshay is just superb with comedy role than a hero as usual. Nice comedy and nice entertain. But the end isn't good enough. I bored by watching those emotional scenes at the end of the movie when heroes passed father or mother suddenly get the movement when his/her son/daughter get in touch with body part. What a shame it was. It was an extreme accident and Boss's father passed away and then got a life after minimum an hour. O.o Unbelievable stories to say. I really want to official those writers who write a better story till before end and they ruins out the whole movie in last few minutes.

KRRISH 3 is especially made for kids. Nothing interesting to watch in it. Bollywood just tries a science fiction movie along with high and high technologies but they never met good stories. But still they compare them to Hollywood science fiction movies. So sad........ I was eagerly waiting for it since its trailer was launched. But in the end its disappointing one really.

I am totally disappointed with Krrish 3. Nothing appreciable in it except Hrithik's acting and the vfx. Story is way too predictable, and drags a lot. Vivek Oberoi, Priyanka Chopra are bearable. Songs are absolutely rubbish! I could have easily slept during the first half, if it weren't for the lame Raghupati Raghav song. It surprises me to see critics actually give the film anything more than 2 stars.

The movie was not meant to have a great story. It was meant to entertain and marvel you with special effects. And again, marvelling with special effects is subjective to Indian audiences who have not watched much of Hollywood sci-fi. If you compare, you will end up finding lot of similarities. For India, this path breaking sci-fi content that's a big forward step.

Again no offence to your review, but just my 2 cents

But the most appealing thing about Krrish 1 (or 2?) was its story. Action and thrills wise it was decent, but its the story/script which had a human touch to it that helped you connect with the characters. Even the villain was better despite not having any super powers.

Krrish 3 just got rid of all that for bigger bangs. Plus the songs were just terrible. And the whole 'main bhi Krrish hoon' business was so cheesy

Only standout point was Hrithik's performance as rohit and Krrish. He looked really looked in that suit, although the suit itself looked a bit to shiny and cheap at times :P

I don't see hindi movies generally. The few hindi movies i have seen in my life are Aap Mujhe Ache Lagne Lage, Rehnna Hai Terre Dil Mein, Dil Vil Pyar Vyar, Tanu Weds Manu and Jodi Breakers. I loved all of them, topping the list is RHTDM.

It seem Ram-Leela producer has decided to flop the movie by releasing it tomorrow. No one will be interested in those shit things until Sachin get retired. :p
