Hindi Cinema Discussion

Raajneeti reviews seem quite good (apart from the crack nut Raja Sen of Rediff). Films inspired by epics always impress me.

Amitabh didnt eventually make it to the IIFA. Said so!

Finally had a chance to watch Badmaash Company, and it turned out to pretty good. I don't seem to agree with you. I can't find anything similar apart from the fact that they both are based on fooling people. Everything else seems to be different. Even the way of fooling is different. They follow a strategy here (the customs and thingy), whereas in Bunty aur Bubli there was no such strategy. It's like saying Kaho Na Pyar Hai was DDLJ Part-2, because both of them are based on love/ both of them are romantic movies.

It'd give it : 3/5

The same strategy, left shoe, right hand gloves.. Chang was good.

btw saw Rajneeti last night.. little more than a average movie..
Manoj, Nana, Ranbir everyone played there role excellently. Naserudhin shah had a small role to play (hardly of 5-10mins)

The movie is meant for those who understands politics to a extent. not a movie for taking bhabhi bhatija and wailing infants (i witnessed some in theaters, for the fact they expected for some Ranbir-Kat chemistry like Ajab prem :mad , stupid people :doh)
the most controversial said thing about Katrina about here Sonia Gandhi inspired role of Indoo have less to play.. towards the end(as in trailers, with here namaste doing pose, walking in a sea of people)

The Rajneetik Davpeech are well staged in the movie.

Kites disappointed me and show in BIG cinemas is NOT cheap :o hopefully this movie turned out good, ok type. i ll rate 3/5

What ending you are talking about? :D

chill it's just a movie. a 3 hours fictitious story just to entertain us. people are toooo serious this days with every little thing..

Watched Raajneeti.
Amazing movie.

The storyline was superb, artists were top class, beautifully directed. Just some errors in editing it what I feel.

Overall, its worth the money. Go and watch it guys.

I am going to watch Rajneeti tomorrow evening. I just bought my tickets from the PVR site. As they say, "On line is in, In line is out!"

Well, finally a movie I enjoyed this year. :yes
Rajneeti is well done. :)
Despite the fact that Chetan spoilt the darn ending for me :p

I'm back after watching Rajneeti, and it indeed was a good movie. It had it's ups and downs though. It is REALLY boring during the first 30-40 minutes. Though one can't blame it to anyone. It is the time when all the characters are introduced, and one has to do so, so that the audience enjoys the movie thereafter. During this time, the movie seems to be bit confusing as well, especially because of the complicated names and relations.

Then the movie starts to grip and hits its peak by the interval. One desperately waits for the second half. The first 15-20 minutes of the second half are very good as well. But, then the movie starts dipping. Finally the movie picks up some speed and ends decently well.

Both the projected heroes and villains play dirty politics, and thus one seems to wonder whether all of them are villains. The end seems very unlikely while you're watching the movie. But, it is the usual ending one expects before going to watch the movie.

It'd give it - 3.2/5

Wow, I completely agree with this review. Just completed watching Raajneeti and came here to write a review. I would reduce the 0.2 points and give it 3/5.
