How are you doing in ICC? (any version)

Great score there. What attack do you put him on at the start? Normal, attacking?

Broad needs plenty of bowling technique, I found he performs in the FC alot better than OD cricket. Atm in 2010 with Broad at Middlesex he is my main pace bowler, averages 30 with the bat too! Stick with him but prepare to be hit around a bit.

Thanks mate...Ya, I have already had a bitter dose :p of Broad's batting in the last season...In one 4 dayer, I required the last 2 wkts for win and Masters and Broad hung on for about 83 minutes and forced a draw  If I had won that match, I would have got 10 more points and I could've got promoted.

BTW, Started the new season and in the very first CC match agst Worcs Broad got 5 for 85.

Well at the start they were both on one (I didn't want to lose early wickets as I knew my chances of winning were small) then up to 2 once he had about 15 runs, up to 3 at about 25. He was on 3 till he had got past his double hundred. He moved up to 4 on about 215 and up to 5 and 6 at about 300 when Lamb came in to bat.

Needless to say he was confident for most of the game.

Stick with Broad, 43 odd wickets in 9 games at about 23. Without him I'd be about 4th compared to the 2nd I'm in.

I played a bit with the Windies, in 2009 I finally have some good regens, no bowlers yet, but a wicket-keeper making 92,500 in his second season and an opener. Ryan Hinds is in the top 10 for test bowling and batting. Mohammed has been the best bowler though, but now Jaggernauth is taking his spot. Fast bowling is wobbly, they (Collymore, King, Taylor, Richardson mainly) get in and out form, which is why for example Collymore played only tests for one seasona nd only ODIs in another season... I managed to win nearly all test series, except for a draw against SA and a loss against SL. I lost all ODI series except for a whitewash of England in 2007. (And of course ZIM and BAN).

I got a bit tired of that game, so I returned to my Somerset game (year 2014). Although I missed 3/4 players due to international duty and usually one to injury, I've managed to win nearly every match, except for 1 FC match (Hampshire), one CT(Glamorgan) and one 2020 (Warwickshire) loss and a 2020 tie (Northants). Bright prospects for the quadruple.

I'm happy to have two great wicketkeeper-batsmen, of whom one is a good OD-opener. There is Nathan Knowles, who had played 4 tests and some ODIs over the summer and who is my usual keeper with averages around 40. He's a bit out of form now.. The other one is Fred Stafford, who hardly played last season, but who has played a lot of times as a specialist batsman this season, he averages 50 & 65, and he is my second leading runscorer in ODs, helped by a great 177 from 149 balls against Essex.

Just took my first every Hatty. With Plunkett.

Check out this new young gun. Dyke is his name. Made 2 centuries that series including a double ton.

Getting tight in my Middlesex game, top of the CC by about 14 points and 3 games left, about 4th in PRO40 Div Two after a decent run of wins, Broad is finally doing something in the shorter game too which helps.

I am really struggling in this new season. I lost some very good players and have alot of youngsters that aren't very good. I havn't won a match.

Tough stuff. Just beat Warks (I think :D) by an innings and 70 odd runs after Broad took 11 wickets when I asked for a seaming pitch.

Just finished my 2010 season with Middlesex and I won the CC Div two by over 40 points! Broad took 75 wickets in the season and was instrumental. Lamb was as consistent as ever and Keegan and Read played important roles as back up seamers, my young leggie Gratrix only took 40 wickets at 40 and was disappointing. I was offered the England job and denied yet again.

The transfers:

Keegan and Betts retired and Lumet and Burnett were released, taking 4 out of my seam attack! I renewed the contracts of Jamil and Collins. I had one overseas spot and I signed the Indian left armer Rudra Singh. Ray Roberts was my youth signing, he averages 44 in 2nd team and had a good run of recent scores, not cheap though at 28k. I signed two more seamers help my squad. Jimmy Ormond and Gary Mason, the latter being a good RF bowler who averages low 20s, though he might miss time on England duty. In the 5th round a certain A. Rashid became available, I wanted him and I got him though I had to take 10k out of the Coaching budget. 65k for him.

I needed stronger bowlers for the new season what with a higher CC league and poor OD results last season and I think I got them.

My strongest team for the season probably is:

Strauss
Jamil
Joyce
Shah
Compton
Collins
Hughes
Lamb
Broad
Rashid
Mason
Singh

That's quite strong imo!

Yes, I might struggle if say both Joyce and Strauss get called up by England. But I could play 2 of Godleman, Van Jaarsveld and the youth I bought. Seam bowling back up is light, I have Read, Ormond and Chivers. The later being young and very raw. Ormond is my fall upon guy who I don't expect to tear through teams but to give me a good back up option. Read is a LF who is improving all the time. Got a back up Leggie too. So it's looking good but I might struggle with injuries in certain positions.

Edit: Lol, just realised that I put 12 people in that team! I have no idea who I'd drop!
