How are you doing in your career?

What did you choose for your career player?

It just depends how much fun it is to perform basic fielding manoeuvres, and how believable the game feels when the CPU is batting / bowling.

I could see myself spending some time prowling the covers or in catching positions if catches / run outs feel like a rewarding test of skill.

There's nothing quite like taking a sharp chance in real life. Glorious.

Nice. I'd rather get a feel from a fielders perspective as well and unleash my inner frustration by running around during the game here and there and disrupting other fielders.

Kinda like playing soccer where you just madly dash behind the ball even though you're a defender or even a goalie....

Hahaha...

i am good in fielding so i will give it a try :p and @MattW why were you not given a opportunity to bowl by AI?

The build of the game that he was playing was an old build that was bugged. You will be given a chance in the shipped game.

I don't know if this has been answered before but does your 'my player' come with predetermined stats like in FIFA or NBA? ie. starting as a 16 y/o, you'd expect your batting skills to be low to average right? And I'm assuming there's no way of making yourself to be a mini-Tendulka (he scored his first first-class century at 16 and first test century at 17 meaning his skills from the get go were high) right?

ok thanks mate

*edit*
just watched the career videos...very nice, however there were some evident glitches (nicked ball, but not out; missed stumping; bowler not bowling; etc) which I'm assuming they're fixing.

Can't wait.

I know this is a case of having unreal expectations, but is there a concept of an injury ending or at least threatening the career of a player?

Umpires make mistakes though! That's why there is BARS

Yes, similar to FIFA in which you select players, buy/sell players, control every player in a match.

Personally I've never been a fan of ''Be A Pro''.

Haha, I'm guessing because of the time it takes to improve your player...yeah that bugged everyone but the point was 'starting from the bottom' :D
Anyway, I don't know why but I spent most of my life playing career modes and creation/edit menu... but Be A Pro can be very rewarding. Or else you should play PES 2013, earn skill points every match or a new pair of boots for man of the match award.:)
