I can speak basic Hindi lol, enough to get by in day to day life, I am fished when it comes to the grammar part though, cant make head nor tail of it.
For eg if I want to say "I cant speak Hindi properly" in Hindi I would say
"Hindi kuch banta nahi hai" or "Hindi kuch banti nahi hai"

Now I don't know which one of those is right or wrong, always get confused. Its stuff like that where I face problems.
You're fine with Hindi as the basics is what is required for normal communication, I believe.

Can I take English as a first language ?

I've never been in the position of sitting down in a classroom and learning English. But being a Spanish A-level student, sometimes I just can't help but think how easy it would be to learn English. For one, the subjunctive tense does my nut in, and I'm pretty sure it's more or less non-existent in English.
...Think about conjugating a verb in English:

I - speak
You - speak
He/She/It - speaks
We - speak
You(Pl) - speak
They - speak

And in Spanish it's:

Yo - hablo
t? - hablas
?l/ella/Formal - habla
nosotros - hablamos
vosotros - habl?is
ellos/ellas/Formal pl. - hablan

Which one do you think's easier to learn? :p

Spanish is easier for me as it is a little bit related to Arabic grammar-wise.

These are easy....he speaks...I speak....dog barks....cat mews....blah blah.

I am talking about the grammar; the advanced grammar and that of English as a 1st language. Well I've decided to take it. Hope it's easy. :p
