How are you going in Ashes Cricket 2009?

I really want some advise cause i do realy enjoy the game on my xbox 360, but im really starting to get fed up with the run outs and not just that, also the small score the aussies keep making against me lucky to get near 200 its really annoying. I do realy enjoy batting i have no problem and i also really enjoy bowling but not when theres stupid run outs and just awful shot to many cathes too soon, anyone know if i should just simulate the aussies innings or change my field to a certain field which could maybe reduce run outs and catch chances which appear to often.

I had the same problem but what i've done now is that i have reduced the timing and placement skills of the batsmen of my team and that makes the batting slightly tougher. As far as the bowling problem is concerned, set a normal 6-3 field and bowl normally like one does in real cricket..By doing this AI will score decent score that will be challenging for you to get with lower timing and placement skills

What you mean by a 6-3 field, what position do you place your men exactly?

I once again tried the same technique of packing the off side and bowling out swingers. England got out for 78 and 56 in each innings.

If you are gonna do like this. sure, you wont have realistic matches to enjoy.

Even for me bowling to AI is nightmare, they are going at 9.0 RPO. But finding a way to contain them :sarcasm.

I am able to contain them for most of the match, the only problem im facing with the bowling is bowling them out way to quickly and them getting such a small score, in my last two test matches ive won by an innings and a few hundred runs. Im really getting tempted to simulate the aussies innings in my ashes test, im currently 2-0 up with 3rd test yet to be played.

For some reason the run out bug is occuring for me again and is becoming ever more annoying. I just want to know why the ai is making such small scores i find it way to easy and i really dont wanna simulate.

For the first time im going to begin to save after every over as the run out bug is the main reason for my matches being no fun o well

I have found this game really easy. There is a glitch when using a spin bowler, i once took 10 wickets with Graeme Swann for about 38 runs! I play on hard mode because well i thought it would be a challenge and most of all realistic.

Now i dont exploit the spinner glitch and don't use custom fields because it would just be to easy otherwise.

The most frustrating thing is the AI run rates. They score at about 6/7 po in a test match, yet in a T20 match they score at only 4/5 po.

In my opinion the closest your gonna get to a realistsic game is a 50 over match.

In my case, AI goes all gun blazing at 10-11RPO :laugh. After 15-20 overs AI gets mad.

10/11 RPO is pathetic. Thats why i say play a 50 over game as you will have some sort of a challenge chasing down their score.

The gas i just wanna know how come the AI get such a high score against you i find it to easy to bowl them out well they might possibly get higher score if it wasnt for the run outs, ive never saved after every over, do you advise that i should cause im winning by an innings every match, well my last two anywayz.

AI run rate @ around 6.5 RPO is quite acceptable..
