Group A is a real bomb  can't wait for the start it's gonna be a tight Competition Between all team Go India :happy

Btw, the trophy stays in Pakistan.

Get ready to see less the full strength teams come and dilute the importance of the trophy. BCCI has again wielded its power (I am confident they might have played a big hand in Pakistan retaining this trophy hosting)

dude Mario is Italian, not American, apart from that he doesn't have a religion. off topic-guilty

Your point is? I never said that Mario was American or anything else. I just said that angryangy's post reminded me of that Mario!

No the princess is with Bin Ladin, and the both heros save her. eventually, we all find out that it has nothing to do with ICC Champions Trophy, but the Aussie Cricket team can't help it.

Just to make my post worthwhile, I’d say it’s a personal thing if a player feels unsafe and doesn’t want to go. Very much, up to him. As long as the Cricket Boards themselves don’t make any noise.

It'll be a shame if some of the worlds top players pull out, but hopefully those replacements could set about steading themselves as proven international performers. I, in particular prefer to see players I've never seen before than those I have.

Champions Trophy stays in Pakistan

Pakistan confirmed as hosts

The ICC board has decided to go ahead with staging the Champions Trophy in Pakistan, as originally planned, ending months of speculation over the venue in light of security concerns. Cricinfo has learnt that a majority of the governing body's executive board, which conducted a teleconference on Thursday to decide on the issue, felt any shift would "set a precedent" and be "a tremendous blow to the region, especially ahead of the 2011 World Cup", to be jointly organised by the four Asian boards

South African players 'disappointed' with Pakistan go-ahead

The ICC's decision to go ahead with the Champions Trophy in Pakistan has evoked mixed reactions, with South African cricketers leading the criticism of a decision backed by their own board. It has also again raised fears of top players staying away from the tournament, fears that will not be dampened by the ICC's waiver of penalties for pull-outs.

ICC aims to win players' confidence for Champions Trophy

COLOMBO: The chief executive of the International Cricket Council sought on Thursday to allay fears players may pull out from the Champions Trophy, scheduled to be held in troubled Pakistan in September.

Haroon Lorgat said the prospect of pullouts was an "obvious concern", but urged players not to withdraw, saying the ICC would do all in its power to ensure their safety.

"It's not something that I treat lightly, but I think it's something that we can manage," Lorgat said.

I was just reading the local paper and the sports writer was saying that none of the Black Caps will pull out as long as they have sercurity 24/7. He also selected what he thought would be the best team for us over there.

1.Brendon McCullum(VC)
2.Jesse Ryder
3.Ross Taylor
4.Jamie How
5.Scott Styris
6.Jacob Oram
7.Grant Elliot
8.Daniel Vettori(C)
9.Kyle Mills
10.Tim Southee
11.Richard Sherlock

I don't know much about this Richard Sherlock but he is suppose to bowl in the 150's, which would be handy over there.

Sharlock is hopeless. There's no way he deserves to make the squad. He was fast at some point but he got injured, I bet he's only 140's. Champions Trophy is not a place to debut. Jame Franklin in for Sherlock or Gillespie (who bowled well in England)

South Africa are also expected to name a full squad with no pull-outs

England really doesn't matter, they wern't ever gonna win.

And Symonds can just sit at home for all we care. We're sorry we don't cater to your booze drinking and have bars and also have prostitutes running around.
