Who Will Win The ICC Champions Trophy

Who cares if the pitches were glued together, they played very well. And of course the crowds would be low for games not involving India.
One team made 210 on a pitch India glued together.

The pitch curator said the opposition had NO chance to get the total because it was glued.

They were bowled out for 79.

Since when do you GLUE pitches?!

Seriously a first.

It is not a first by any means, it happens pretty often.

I am not condoning it, but the fact that you deny its use is quite baffling.

First of all, I said "International" matches.

I assume the ECB ruling is on List A games, not ODIs.

Like I said, its the first time it was used in an international match during the ICC Champions Trophy.

The pitch curator admits that the team chasing can't win (and the total is only 210)

And the team chasing in that game were bowled out for 87.

You're clutching at straws now, glue has been used in a few international games before.

Yeah, those few international games were DURING the ICC Champions Trophy of 2006.

I am asking for specifics manee. I am asking for games in which the pitches were glued. I'm not asking for general information. I am yet to see one international game in which a pitch has been glued together other than the ones during the ICC Champions Trophy of 2006.

It has been done sporadically before and after that, but since I can't be bothered right now to go on google and search, I guess you win.

I just did a search on google.

Nothing comes up except for the ICC 06 games.

So unless this is a match which is so old that its only mentioned on Cricinfo...

The first two test matches of the South Africa vs New Zealand Test Series in NZ in 1999.

Excellent, you are correct.

Now that we've settled that argument, let me get back to the original point as to why I felt the ICC CT 2006 was a flop.

The glued pitches provided and I quote Stephen Fleming "sub-standard cricket"

You said it was boring, not poor cricket for the players, I am arguing that it was not boring because a lot of the games were close low scoring contests.

Guys ticket pricing for 06 CT was reason for low crowds.

I do prefer low scoring matches/any match were the bowler is on top. Thats when you see who the best batsman are due to the hard conditions.
