Yes, they are. I clearly remember the Times of India :)

Cricinfo can do it because they are a trusted news outlet, unlike the Times of India.

You are not a credible source either, so 'remembering' is simply not enough.

I am still waiting for the bomb blast here in Pakistan that was announced by Marsh 3 weeks ago. He said it was in the coming week, so its been 2 weeks.

It clearly says "they" are expecting, and that it is what "we" are concerned about, you numpty.

It is quite an audacious comment to make, that you are expecting a bomb blast in a country within one week.

Obviously your intelligence agencies should back this up, or the bomb blast should actually happen.

Let me make some audacious comments as well.

I am expecting bombs to fall in the US in 5 years. I am expecting an underground train to blow up in England the day England lose the Ashes (whenever that happens to be, whether its 2009 or 2011 or 2013 :p)

32 Members think India would win if This Trophy is played :)

England :)Australia,,SA, New Zealand , India - Trophy to nay one of this..

this is My Prediction Hope no one object to this ;)

No, what I mean is, he wasn't the one expecting, he clearly says "they" as in some other authority, and not him.

He was simply reporting what the other authorities were expecting, so condemning him is unfair.

ECB on Champions Trophy stand-by

The ECB have begun sounding out Test grounds should they be needed to host the Champions Trophy if Pakistan is deemed unsafe for the tournament. At least one Test ground has been approached as a potential venue with England being a suitable location in mid-September.

No decision has yet been taken on the final venue for the event, due to start on September 11 when Pakistan play West Indies in Lahore. An ICC task force is set to arrive in Pakistan on August 10 for a three-day visit, and Sri Lanka is understood to be the first stand-by venue if the tournament is moved, while South Africa is another possibility.

However, officials at Edgbaston have been asked by the ECB if they'd be interested in staging matches, suggesting England is well-placed to be another alternative.

Akhtar in contention for Pak squad

KARACHI: Controversial Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar on Friday put in an impressive performance in a practice game in Multan that could very well convince the national selectors to include him the national squad for the Champions Trophy.

Braving hot and humid conditions, Akhtar bowled nine overs, picked up two wickets in the day-night match arranged by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to judge the form and fitness of the national cricketers.

Doesn't this have everything to do with the ICC Champions Trophy, since Marsh was referring to Pakistan and why it shouldn't host the ICC Champions Trophy?

I was talking about the stupid and unnecessary predictions.

NZ Cricket should take call on Pakistan - Vettori

Daniel Vettori, the New Zealand captain, says he doesn't want to lead a less than full-strength team for the Champions Trophy in Pakistan, and has asked New Zealand Cricket (NZC) to take a decision on the team's visit to the country.

Vettori said he and other senior players had concerns over their safety, but felt the decision shouldn't be left to individuals. "I think that's the important bit. It's all well and good me saying no, that I'm not going after playing for a long time but it'd be unfair to put a Daniel Flynn or a Tim Southee in that position," Vettori said. "For me personally, I want to make sure that it's a collective decision and not put in front of young guys, because the young guys probably don't have the same options as the more experienced players."

ICC may drop Rawalpindi as Champions Trophy venue

ISLAMABAD: The International Cricket Council on Monday said it could drop the Pakistani garrison city of Rawalpindi as one of the three venues for September's Champions Trophy.

Eliminating Rawalpindi, which adjoins the capital Islamabad, would leave all the trophy matches to be played in the southern port city of Karachi and the eastern cultural capital of Lahore.

Rawalpindi is definitely not being built fast enough.

Unless they start getting workers to work 24/7, it CAN be done, but more than likely it won't happen.

BREAKING NEWS FROM GEO NEWS:

The ICC Task Force has said they are happy with the security arrangements in Pakistan.

They have visited the 3 stadiums, and the security plans exceeded their already high expectations, and see NO REASON for the ICC Champions Trophy to not be held in Pakistan.

Now lets see who pulls out :)

Damn so Karachi and Lahore to host all the matches again?
Unfortunately, yes - shame, Rawalpindi is a great bowling track, best sporting pitch in subcontinent.

However, it has been raining for the past 3 weeks in Pakistan, and more rain is expected till late September.

Expect the pitches to be sort of... greenish, because we've been having an ultra super amount of rain ever since July 10th.
