First of all, the bomb blast today in Lahore occured at a police post. The target were POLICEMEN. Not security guard / officials. Not citizens.

It really does not matter who they target, the bare fact that there are still explosions today pose a risk, and it's pathetic that you condemn anyone because they don't want to take that risk. Absolutely pathetic, in my eyes.

He reverted his decision. He said that after his talks with the selectors and his teammates that he will remain the WI captain.

oh, Nice, I like Gayle as Captain, but not right now, because he is not 100% fit.

Why hasn't this been moved. It's plainly obvious no one wants to play there. The ICC are a bunch of useless idiots. I'm really sick of the dithering. Just cancel the whole thing. >It's a crap tournament anyway

ICC fails to convince New Zealand on Pakistan

New Zealand's squad has not softened its view on attending the Champions Trophy despite a detailed security briefing by an ICC task force in Christchurch on Thursday. Safety remains a prime concern and Heath Mills, the executive manager of the New Zealand Cricket Players' Association, will not be recommending the team attends the tournament.

"In all honesty, nothing I heard yesterday has allayed our concerns," Mills said. Twenty-two of New Zealand's contracted players attended the lengthy and animated meeting along with team management and New Zealand Cricket officials. Worried players threw many questions at the out-numbered ICC representatives, who had arrived from a security assessment in Pakistan in an effort to convince the side to travel, but at this stage the official plea is unlikely to work.

Uncertain Ponting won't commit to Pakistan

Ricky Ponting expects crucial decisions on Pakistan in the next few days after a security update from the ICC failed to ease the Australian players' concerns. James Sutherland, Cricket Australia's chief executive, agreed that it was crunch time, while the ICC conceded it still had just enough time to switch the Champions Trophy to Sri Lanka if necessary.

I am going to LAUGH if every team tours but New Zealand. I reckon a 10 million dollar fine would put them in serious bankruptcy.

Yea...crap because a bunch of Pussys don't want to play in a place where they know they won't get to win the tournament!

It's not only a problem going there but also the fact that your mind will never be 100% on the cricket to be played. Bottom line is that it's better to avoid something rather than to hope it doesn't happen. At the end of the day, cricket is just a game.

Pussys? Pussys who don't want to lose their lives playing in a dangerous place full of tards running around blowing themselves up. No one wants to step foot there.

We won't get fined 10 milion dollars because we'll sent a third eleven over there instead.

The ICC are Vankers.

Complete and utter shambles, this should have been sorted months ago. Once again cricket administrators prove they don't have the balls to make decisions when it counts, instead they pansie around sending security teams on jollies when they should have just swallowed the hard truth that it shouldn't be in Pakistan.

Pussys? Pussys who don't want to lose their lives playing in a dangerous place full of retarded religious tards running around blowing themselves up. You live in a terrorist country. Get over it. No one wants to step foot there.

What disgusts me is that you don't give a **** about lives of the third team! And for your information, I never lived in Pakistan. I was born in UAE and have lived there all my life except for going to Karachi on vacations of like 2 weeks each year. And when I go there, it doesn't really bother me about my life since I know that if it is time for me to die, there is nothing that can save me from dieing!

Of course you know what will happen, don't you?

No problems with security whatsoever, but the ICC make a complete cock-up of the tournament. I think you have to have a sense of humour to be able to cope with the ICC.

ICC doesn't rule out Champions Trophy switch

Despite repeated statements from the ICC that the Champions Trophy will go ahead in Pakistan next month, suggestions that the tournament might be switched to an alternative country continue to circulate. David Richardson, the ICC's general manager of cricket, said on Friday it was not too late to take such action.

His comments come at a time when the ICC appears to be fighting a losing battle in its bid to persuade players from several countries that there are not major safety issues over staging the event in Pakistan. "We're very short of time now," Richardson said after meeting with James Sutherland, Cricket Australia's chief executive, Paul Marsh, the head of the Australian Cricketers' Association, and Australia's captain and vice captain Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke. "If we're going to relocate now it needs to be made within the next few days. Operationally it would be difficult, but it's certainly not an option that would be discarded at this point and it could be relocated."

What do u think now? Will the CT will be shifted from Pakistan, though they (ICC)had decided and fixed earlier, because of player's wish they "might " have to change the location...
