I doubt they could beat Pakistan in Pakistan.

Besides, even by going by that, they're still #5 - nowhere near the top 4, which probably is Australia, India, South Africa, and Sri Lanka.

New Zealand is not a top side, by any means.

Especially not the top 4.

We're ranked third in the world. Don't humor me. I agree with the post above. We're better then those sides. ESPECIALLY PAKISTAN!

We get under-estimated as usual.

Actually WI are a good ODI side, they beat england 3-2 and Sri Lanka but obviously got destroyed by South Africa and Australia but than so did many other teams ranked in front of us.

To be honest, NZ will struggle in Pakistan (compared to the rest)

Quote him for truth :D

Pakistan at full strength are a better ODI side than New Zealand, but they seem to always have a few key players out of form.

As for the West Indies . . . up and down. They played really well against Australia in the Test series, drawing the second and putting up a very good fight for the third. Of course they didn't do well at all in the ODIs, But I think they're improving.

Can anyone stop Sri Lanka from winning. As now it seems it will be held in Lanka.

Just because of Ramdin they lost the 4th ODI!

I disagree. We haven't played Pakistan lately but we're ranked higher for good reason. We didn't lose to a minnow in the World Cup. We just drilled Ireland in an ODI. Records all over the show. That side looks almost full strength too.

It's a shame we don't have Shane Bond still, because Bond, Mills, Oram, Vettori would easily be the strongest bowling attack in ODI cricket at the moment. Handy guys like Southee/Gillespie/Franklin give us good depth.

But what ever. I'm used to us getting written off, ignored, etc. No one really takes any notice.

New Zealand beat Pakistan 4-1 in their last ODi series (Back in 2004 in New Zealand, unless I've missed a series). Last game was one by New Zealand, Champions Trophy in 2006. New Zealand won by 51 runs.

I'd rather play Pakistan than New Zealand.

Sureshot, Pakistan's Champions Trophy 2006 squad was crap, we had no good bowlers and no Salman Butt.

First of all, the World Cup was almost one and a half years ago. Secondly, I'm not saying that Pakistan are better than New Zealand, because I would rather have my team be New Zealand than Pakistan. I was simply saying that Pakistan at their best is better than New Zealand at their best.

That being said, New Zealand are a far more consistent side than Pakistan.
