I think England have been very lucky in this last part of the tournament when their last 2 games were do or die.Yup If Pakistan goes out of Semis and that will only be confirmed on Friday so It is our team who would be responsible for this. I'd call West Indies match a bad day but the match against Australia was in our pocket but the team needed thrashing before it started to perform good and Pakistan could definitely improve their run rate a lot against Newzeland and Afghanistan but the confidence was very low and Pakistan needed more relax wins than thinking about NRR at that time so I give them benefit of the doubt.
Anyhow, as far as the championship is concerned, I will definitely see Australia or England as favorites. I don't see a slight chance of India winning the cup considering the performance they gave against England and barely lost yesterday match against Bangladesh. Australia is looking a strong unit while England's favorite tag hasn't been lifted off since well before the beginning of the World Cup. English media and experts cannot afford a loss this time around and they are virtually mentally prepared that this time the World Cup is for them.
I mean how much more lucky can you get.
match against india you win the toss, bat first bcoz its been the trend in this world cup that chasing is difficult
roy comes back into the team at right time
And its a flat batting track with short boundaries on either side of the ground
Then comes the NZ match and again you win the toss and again you get a good batting wicket.
English commentators said that todays pitch will hold its own and remain the same for the whole match but guess what it slowed down just at the right time when england innings ended.
It was interesting to see the way virat made a cheeky taunt towards ICC which got unnoticed right after ind vs eng match he said that it was actually surprising or freakish to see that when one team needed a win badly, a good batting track was provided with no spin and short boundaries as well
