Dinesh is the last player that I would have sent in this situation from the lineup. But this might possibly be his last game for India and I really hope for his sake that he is remembered positively for a crucial contribution here.[DOUBLEPOST=1562755140][/DOUBLEPOST]On the other hand, really happy to see Henry bowl so well in an important game. He was chronically mismanaged by Hesson for years without any apparent reason.

Where the fk is MSD? Ridiculous...

True, i remember him being in the top 5 ODI bowlers for a while.
And Karthik's gone too. Where is Dhoni?!?

I think Dhoni is held back to prevent a collapse of some sort if Pant and Hardik can build a decent partnership here and one of them gets out.

It's a huge shame that India's batting starts to skittle whenever a pressure game such as this happens. This gives flashbacks to the CT17 final where India were in a similar position, looking dire and helpless.

Isn’t this already a collapse? :rolleyes

Holding Dhoni back makes no sense, Pandya can grit through an innings if needed but Dhoni should have walked out at 4 today.[DOUBLEPOST=1562756585][/DOUBLEPOST]

And he’s out. :facepalm

Will always be remembered as one of the most average players to have played for India with one shining moment in an utterly meaningless T20 tournament.

So much for all that talk of India cruising over NZ and underrating the Kiwis. This is a slap in the face to those Indian fans that were downplaying NZ as a team. Henry and Boult have come out roaring today and silenced those fans.

Not just in respect with this game

All the people saying NZ were lucky to be here in the semis. This quite a rocking reply by the Kiwis. Almost on the verge of booking a spot in the finals now

I meant if for now a partnership is built then if another wicket falls Dhoni comes in to prevent another one of the collapses to occur just like the one that we're witnessing now.

I agree, I really can't think any logical reason for holding Dhoni back than that reason alone.

Can't say I'm surprised. I had specifically feared this very situation. Just some helpful conditions and our lineup struggles.

Lol! Busted when it mattered the most.

Another knockout loss on the way now.

Ditto

I have feared this situation for a long long time .. and the no.4 problem has only made things worse. And it is playing out in the worst possible way and at the worst possible time

I beleive we can still make it. :)

Neesham takes a stunner and drops a sitter. Could be costly

India just need a solid partnership now. Not to mention there's still batting in sheds with Dhoni, Jadeja and bhuvi. Pant and Pandya just need to bat smartly now.

The fact is our no.4 is still on the crease
