The fact that I don't ever give up, Dhoni and Jadeja can take us to the final.

Right

Just need to channel their inner CSK powers here ... these two

(not gonna happen though)

Just wanted to add that this is the last time we will see MS Dhoni play for India in ODI's or probably in the international cricket. Yes, we are all disappointed with the performance so far but let's just try and enjoy this last inning from Dhoni.

Shades of Wasim Akram in Trent Boult with the new ball moving it both ways. Brilliant. Cricket is better when fast bowling is better.

I'll bet Rayudu would have looked like a better choice today. Never understood why he wasn't picked.

Absolutely not. Rayudu was deservedly dropped, he had a strike rate of 93 in a t20 tournament and was absolutely clueless versus quality pace during the tour of Australia and NZ. What we needed today was someone to grind through without losing their wicket and bat till the end; that player was MS Dhoni and it was the reason why he won a MoS in the Australia tour.

I still can’t believe that the management or coaching staff would be daft enough to not see this and refuse to send him in at 4, instead sending a talented but inexperienced rookie and a player who has never ever looked comfortable unless he bats at the very end of an innings. I hope Shastri is sacked after this, Bharat Arun should be the only one who should stay in this setup.

Isa Guha "I think the Pakistan fans will be going for a New Zealand win". First of all, unnecessarily combative. Secondly, how the heck would you know. A lot of Pakistan fans appreciate the way India plays cricket and want a South Asian team to win. What is she on? Just at least try and call the game that's being played.

I'm a big fan of Pant, but I would have picked Rayudu over the inexperienced 21 year old as a replacement. To each their own though. It's easy to say that in retrospect.

Really strange comment from someone who’s usually the best and most learned commentator during most matches. Didn’t expect her out of all the people to say this.[DOUBLEPOST=1562762591][/DOUBLEPOST]

Had it not been for his 3D jibe, Rayudu would have been the first replacement option. Another classic case of BCCI mismanagement.

Hardik got out in the same way.

Can’t criticise him much though, he might not have the skill of a Rohit or Rahul but the way he values his wicket and grinds for it is something to admire. I remember him being the only other player apart from Kohli to stand up and deliver in the Edgbaston test a year ago.

I, personally, am not a huge fan of her work as a commentator. Mel Jones is a much better female voice for me. I think apart from a few exceptions like Mark Nicholas, Ganguly, Wasim Akram, Simon Doull etc, the commentary team has been underwhelming.

I mean, salvaging NRR, i kinda get it, but what's the purpose of playing such an innings in a World Cup semifinal?

You forgot the best one. Ian Bishop.

Yeah absolutely. There are a few more but I didn't want to list them all. I just miss the old days of Bill Lawry, Richie Benaud, Tony Greig and such. Those folks will always be the voices of cricket for me. I was particularly a big fan of Lawry.[DOUBLEPOST=1562763177][/DOUBLEPOST]Michael Hodling also missing.
