What is Holding on about? Gayle was plumb in front! He nearly got out thrice!

WI bowling started with 5wides and Same for AUS bowling :|
Universe Boss or DRS Boss?

West Indies had kept it really tight earlier. Australia were 38/4 at one stage, for god's sake. They completely dominate Aussies better batting options, giving them no clues whatsoever, and then NCN (who is not even a designated bowling all-rounder but purely a blower who can sometimes hold his innings with the bat) smashes all over the park. Man, this world cup is becoming more and more unbelievable!

P.s. Windies can still pull a win here, if they can bat around 45-50 overs. Look at the firepower...

TV replays have shown that on the ball before Gayle was dismissed, Starc overstepped by about four inches but no no-ball was signaled by umpire Gaffaney. It would have been a free hit on the ball he was given lbw.

Think we missed the trick by not playing Lyon over Zampa. 4 of the 5 West Indies top order are left handed.

Australia is a different beast altogether

Even with a non world beating team, they manage to pull in such amazing performances

From 35/4 to 288. Most other teams would have folded for less than 200

I really fear they are going to win the cup again

It just felt like Chris Gaffaney didn't want to see Gayle bat today. He gave him out twice wrongly and then missed that huge no-ball. I know umpiring is a very difficult job to do but if you are missing that big of a no-ball, there has to be some sort of fine for that. Umpires can't just get away with a decision like that especially when that decision can change the game.

ABD offered to come out of retirement and play in the ongoing WC which was refused by the SA team management. A right call I feel because if ABD wanted to play he shouldn't have retired.

I think Windies will fall short by 20-30 runs here.. :noway

I wonder what would have happened if South Africa had won all their 3 games so far. We might not have heard about this news at all. It's all about timing and situation.

6-7 years ago in Big Bash I have seen NCN bat like a proper batsman until he decided to focus more his bowling. He can hit the ball a long way and good to see him getying some runs today.

Much similar to what Symonds did in the 03 WC opener vs Pakistan.

I'm quite glad he's not in this World Cup squad. Would have been painful as hell to see him lay his soul on the field and have the sham of a cricket board walk all over their player's aspirations!

Think Shai Hope played rather too slowly and this could cost Windies the match.
