Absolutely boring track. I don't know if it's me, but it gets highly boring if there's nothing in the 22 for the bowlers.

Is it just me or anyone else finding this WC boring? Much similar to 2007 WC maybe early days and not enough close barring a couple of ones (Pak vs Eng ,WI vs Aus).

So it looks like England matches will have a flat batting track whereas all other matches will have sporting tracks. Nothing wrong since its ECB's WC.

Is it ? I think the earlier tracks had fair bit of help for the bowlers. In the first match at The Oval the surface was a bit up and down and the odd balls were staying low, slower balls were largely effective that day. And in the match against Pakistan the surface was such that it would get slower over a period of time, credits to Pakistani batsman for the way the batted. Also in the later part of the match there was fair bit of reverse swing on offer. I haven't seen the match today so can't say about it but previous matches definitely there were no easy batting wickets.

To be honest, I find 50 over cricket itself really boring now a days. I think the World Cup has actually been refreshing for me in the sense that at least some tracks have had some zip for the bowlers.

If it were left to me, I'd have a test championship as planned.

A champion's trophy annually. NO BILATERAL ODI's

A World Cup in T20 format every four years with a lot more teams. NO T20 BILATERALS

I would make the IPL more open and a carnival spread across the full year with games on each weekend apart from times of the CT and the WC.

So you mean teams like Pakistan & Afghanistan can't win WCs for the years to come ? I believe either of Australia or India goes on to win this. At the moment it's more in Australia's favour though

Thank God it's not :spy

ODI Cricket would still continue to be there and it would definitely be more entertaining in future[DOUBLEPOST=1560005029][/DOUBLEPOST]

ICC needs to be proactive with its rules regarding rain. Why abandon a day match, when it can be converted to a short day and night match.
Similarly in worst cases, unless there is another match on the same ground on the next day, there should be a provision of playing the match on the next day.
In such a crucial tournament, washed out matches are unfair on the teams and their fans.

Two dull games today as this WC is turning out to be a real mixed bag, with more boredom than the entertainment. I agree with CricketQ20 that England seem to be getting mostly the best of the batting tracks whereas the other countries seem to get sporting tracks. I wonder if this is a tactic and if it is, it can backfire on England as you cannot pick your location for the knockouts and good bowling teams will find a way to keep the England batting down on flat wickets (like how Pakistan did in that game defending 348).

Big game tomorrow - a real humdinger as two of the tournament favorites take on each other. I seriously think Australia are favorites seeing the way they've played these two games and their form going into this tournament. Tomorrow is going to be a very challenging game for India, more so if India is asked to bat first. I'd go with the same lineup that played South Africa and not change it.
