Why is the ground less than half full?
I thought it would have been a full house.
Have Aussies fallen out of love with there team or do they see it as a worthless series?

Its a working day in Melbourne today and school holidays have just ended. Expect to see alot more people for the evening innings.

The game began at 2pm on Wednesday for starters. That conflicts with most peoples work. I am sure the crowd will build for the second innings a bit. Another thing is theres three games at the Dome so some people won't go to all of them. I expect Sundays game to be a decent crowd (especially if Australia win one or two of the game sor put up a good fight)

The World XI bowled pretty damn well. Its pretty rare for a Spinner to bowl at the Death like Vettori did. I was wondering why Pollock was waiting so long because I knew Vettori and Murili would definatly slow the runs down. Things turned out good and World XI ended up with 2 spinners with great 10 over spells. The pace attack was dissapointing at times. Akhtar and Pollock started well but had no real luck I guess. Kallis and Flintoff provided poor backup, Gilchrists dismissal was a great ball though. Pietersen fielded great so did Lara. They are probably missing a world class slip and a point fielder but things wen't good in the field.

Australias batting was a perfect start and crumbled due to Martyn failing and Ponting playing a silly shot. Hussey, Katich and Gilchrist were great and lee at the end was Brilliant. Most of the team contributed at least 30 runs but diddn't go on, that was their only problem, noone posted a 80+ score. 255 is still a decent score, they would of been looking at 300 at one stage though and about 40 or so runs is a huge difference.

The new referals to 3rd umpire diddn't really have an impact, it just wasted time. So can't really comment on them at the moment.

Can't wait to see an entertaining chase.

Kallis and Flintoff didn't do much magic in this match. Although Kallis got a wicket.

Vettori was great. Also Muralitharan was good supporter. I wished Bond was here too.

Gilchrist was in his old form. Katich showed great batting skills. But I expected more of then men in form: Symonds and Hussey.

Lee took them to 255-8. It's a good match so far.

Vettori bowled very well - probably star performer of the first session. I'm also surprised at the attendance, although it will increase from now as people finish work etc - but its still nowhere near half-full.......whats the capacity 40,000??

The price for a ticket is quite expensive to what we usually see as well. $30 compared to $130

Andrew Flintoff's the next Michael Vaughan, one series wonder.

Michael Slater on Murali, absolute gold:
"The only way another bowler could bowl the way he does is if his father goes out there and gets back on it"

I see your keeping up your resolution not to make silly comments about England players that come back to bite you...

Australia are owning. HAHA 4/80 after 20 overs or somthing like that. Got my ticket for the last match on sunday. should be good.

Also is it on TV in Engalnd cause I herd the satelite wasnt working over there. It was supposed to be on SKY Sports 1 but I heard that the satelite wasnt working or somthin like that.

On that basis then Gilchrist only has a decent average because he gets so many not outs batting with the lower order.

KP out.

Australia bowling well, hopefully they'll keep it up i have 50 points on them :happy
