We unlike you,go to work :dazza76 said:Why is the ground less than half full?
I thought it would have been a full house.
Have Aussies fallen out of love with there team or do they see it as a worthless series?

Probably something to do with McGrath, Lee and Gillespie :Sureshot said:Good bowling, pitch isn't quite going onto the bat is it?
Disciplined bowling. How has Bracken not played before this in 2 years despite averaging under 20 in ODIs?

Obviously? Obviously? If it was that obvious shouldn't they have been favourites? Even if the Australians have been playing for years, The World XI, batting all that way down to No.10 with the worlds best batsmen, should score at least 200, hell they should score at least 300m@c said:Its good to see the world's best players on the same pitch, but its not exactley a serious contest is it? Australia are an excellent side but they've played together for years (minus Nathen Bracken), compared to the World XI who've had 1 warm up game??? Obviously the Aussies (playing for their country) are gonna out-perform a team of multi-national players (playing for an International Cricket Council).
p.s its good to see your not bitter about Freddie, Jarydd. just spoke to my cousin and he says Flintoff is getting more publicity than any of the Aussie players over there.....oh well never mind

Well if you have the mentality of relying on others you deserve to get out. Freddie batted well, but bowled pretty bloody ordinary.m@c said:It doesn't always work like that though mate. As Greiggy said on the commentry, theres always the danger that they're gonna think 'I if I get out then the next man will do it' and today it didn't work. Having 10 aggressive batsmen has its down side aswell - but it was good to see Freddie continuing to show how he's matured and improved his defensive shots and not lash out at every ball thats bowled to him (as he did in the Lancs second XI a few years ago!).
p.s I enjoyed seeing how much it meant to you lot when the last wicket went - at the end of the day Australia have been the most dominent team in world sport for the past 10 years so they aren't gonna go into a crisis over night.

p.s About the last wicket celebration...did it ever occur to you that they won the match after that wicket?
