Good bowling, pitch isn't quite going onto the bat is it?

Disciplined bowling. How has Bracken not played before this in 2 years despite averaging under 20 in ODIs?
Probably something to do with McGrath, Lee and Gillespie

He wasn't too bad before the Ashes. Averaging a touch over 30 i think, nothing droppable when you have the likes of Warne and McGrath in your team

Its good to see the world's best players on the same pitch, but its not exactley a serious contest is it? Australia are an excellent side but they've played together for years (minus Nathen Bracken), compared to the World XI who've had 1 warm up game??? Obviously the Aussies (playing for their country) are gonna out-perform a team of multi-national players (playing for an International Cricket Council).

p.s its good to see your not bitter about Freddie, Jarydd. just spoke to my cousin and he says Flintoff is getting more publicity than any of the Aussie players over there.....oh well never mind ;)
Obviously? Obviously? If it was that obvious shouldn't they have been favourites? Even if the Australians have been playing for years, The World XI, batting all that way down to No.10 with the worlds best batsmen, should score at least 200, hell they should score at least 300

Yep. They were talking earlier on about Warne playing the WIndies World Cup as he missed the last one. He'd be about 38.

If Muralis not chucking that ball I'm a purple afro wearing monkey.

I'm sick of people paying out Murali... its getting so old, he is a great bowler why cant you just appreciate his talent. I mean im sure if he was an Aussie you would be like "how talented is he - what a legend etc... etc..." Even Sir Donald Bradman when he was alive said he thinks its ridiculous how people pay out Murali and call him a chucker cos it takes away from the game, why can't you just face that hes a great bowler and get on with things.

Great win by Aus. Catching is still a worry but Watson bowled well. McGrath great as ever and Bracken's opening spell was good. Its a shame White didn't get a bowl.

It doesn't always work like that though mate. As Greiggy said on the commentry, theres always the danger that they're gonna think 'I if I get out then the next man will do it' and today it didn't work. Having 10 aggressive batsmen has its down side aswell - but it was good to see Freddie continuing to show how he's matured and improved his defensive shots and not lash out at every ball thats bowled to him (as he did in the Lancs second XI a few years ago!).

p.s I enjoyed seeing how much it meant to you lot when the last wicket went - at the end of the day Australia have been the most dominent team in world sport for the past 10 years so they aren't gonna go into a crisis over night.

Well if you have the mentality of relying on others you deserve to get out. Freddie batted well, but bowled pretty bloody ordinary.

p.s About the last wicket celebration...did it ever occur to you that they won the match after that wicket?

I didn't say he bowled well - he bowled poorly (as did the other seamers), But I think that win meant more to you after the series defeat over here last month - and why are you being so defensive mate , I'm just voicing my opinion - and my opinion is that Australia are still the best side in the world ;)

p.s I'll see you at the MCG next year :cheers
