Afridi had to go if anyone was. His shot was terrible. Sehwag would of been my second pick but hes played more cricket lately and is in better form. Dravid is probably the most important batsman in the squad. hes one of the few not-so reckless batsmen. he was unlucky the ball which got him seemed to bounce a little more then he expected. It was one of the only wickets which fell which wasn't from a stupid shot. He seemed to come in knowing that he had to play sensibly, get himself in and support the big hitters around him. The bowling was great, but these are the best batsmen, they should be able to deal with it. They selected too many 'showmen' who just bit the ball hard and over the rope. The world XI can't lose tonight surley.

I agree. His spell pushed the game towards Aus but didn't win it for them. Watson finished the World side off.
I am leaving school at 2:40pm to get to the match by 3:30pm. :)
I am only missing an hour.

Gilly is cutting loose at the moment, lets hope he can go on and convert this score into a big one.

Pollock made a big mistake taking the third powerplay with Gilchrist still there. 16 off the first over

This could be Gilly's fastest 100. Brillant. Ponting doing great as well. Katich did a good job as well.

Flintoff's having a shocker lol. Got hammered first game, 0/33 off 4 overs this game, misfielded just then as well, 3 runs let through

Fastest ever century in Australia, and fastest ever century by an Australian!

Well Done Adam Gilchrist

Oh well my dream of a Gilly 200 is down the drain :( Great batting by Gilly though. Has setup a great platform.
Now our middle order has to stand up and not collaspe after this brillant start.

Sehwag looked a complete loss against McGrath, and he is in better form? Catch up with the news, Sehwag even struggled against the mighty Zimbabweans.

Sparky innings from Gilchrist there. Awesome to watch, that pull off Akhtar was definitely the best one in the innings. Flintoff is having a shocker of a match, shows England bowlers are not that impressive on hard pitches.

So many shots from Gilly that were awesome. I in particular liked his pre mediated sweep/ramp shot by Gilly on Pollock. That was awesome and great thinking.
