Interesting... I think that this shouldve been the case in the first match aswell... Gayle is a better batsman than Afridi and he has a better bowling average in ODI's aswell... just a better all-round player, not a bad fielder aswell

I agree. His spell pushed the game towards Aus but didn't win it for them. Watson finished the World side off.

Jacques Kallis should be shot for his selfish batting. He is just better off in Test cricket, the stupid snail. I dunno how Sehwag managed to retain his place in the World XI as he looked completely clueless to McGrath and Lee. Afridi played one of the most ugly shots I have ever seen, Pieterson didnt do much. Dravid, played his usual defensive self. Dunno why he is even there in an ODI XI :

And on top of that the god Gavaskar drops Afridi, when Sehwag should have been the guy to be dropped. And what special did his SA mates do?

But amidst all this, I congratulate Australia for a remarkable win.
