Well aside from the fact you've just contradicted yourself in this post it's not a great idea to call anyone a fool for expressing an opinion let alone an admin.

He also started the 'Were the Aussies paid to lose?' thread iirc.

Come now, do I really have to point out how many NZ players rank in the LG rankings. You can't pick whole teams, only players. But for the omission of Sangakkara, the Test batting lineup is about as strong as you could expect it to be. On the other hand, what's so wrong about the bowlers? The ones that have been selected are all accomplished and in considerable form. The only player that really got the short stick was Chaminda Vaas and he hasn't proved particularly effective in Australia, anyway.

Umm actually Vaas's record against the aussies in ODI is pretty good so you can't say that he's not affective in Australia.

Mat Runs HS BatAv 100 50 W BB BowlAv 5w

29 208 24 13.86 0 0 36 3/27 32.58 (Against Australia overall)

15 109 20 12.11 0 0 21 3/27 31.76 (Against Australia in Australia)

These stats are perfectly fine so you can't say dat he hasn't been effective in Australia.

I meant that his bowling was good towards the end of the innings but it didnt stick anything to us nor did his batting.

I think when he retires he will surely have 600 Test wickets. :)

The match has already been won by Australia. I don't see World XI making 350+ runs.

Its still possible. But yeah, odds are the Australians will win. The batting was terrible in the first innings.

That's not impressive, nor is his Test average in Australia, a shade under 38.

In any case, my point still stands, he was hard done not to get selected in the squad, but I have no doubt that his selection would not have changed the result of the series.

Harmison and Flintoff have taken 11 of the 20 Aussie wickets to fall in this match. It's been a pretty good bowling effort by the World XI but unless we get some brilliance from Lara, it's Warne and McGill all the way. Can't see anyone else on the World XI team being good enough to resist them on this wicket. So much for a 6-day test!

I agree. Lara is one of the greatest players of spin. He just has to see of McGrath and Lee first.
