Good stuff by the England boys today!

Harmisson got another wicket with that famous slower ball yorker! and we know what happened last time he used on of those :p

Its not over yet...

A very interesting day of cricket. I don't recall too many days of cricket in Australia being disturbed by bad light, but then again, we aren't in Summer yet. Great bowling by the World XI, McGrath and Lee looked ready to thrive similarly in those conditions.

If the sun comes out tomorrow, then the XI are a chance, if the conditions are similar to today, can't see them coming out on top.

I didn't even know games got stopped through bad light in the middle of the day before I witnessed the dodgy English weather

What are we up to, tomorrow is day 4, right?
There isn't much hope. The SCG is notoriously hard to bat last on. That the mornings have been good for pace is no good sign either. Luckily, we are guaranteed a result even if tomorrow's weather is poor.

I hope the outcome of this Test is that Stuart MacGill holds his place in the team.

I think the World IX will crumble.They won't get far.Very disappointing series.In my opinion.

it was a bad idea in the first place they didn't get the players together quick enough, it could cause injuries which could effect future tours, and now the aussies think they are industrictable again

Personally i hope worldXI go out in the first 10 overs tomorow so it's less likely on people getting injured and get's this farse over and done with

All depends on Watson. He gets dropped so to will MacGill. If he doesn't then MacGill stays. I would play it a bit more safer and bring in another all rounder like Symonds for Katich.

Australia collapsed from 1-142 to 190 all out.

Harmison and Freddie in the wickets \o/

Wow wat a day of cricket. 9 wickets for 47 runs dats a prtty good cme back evn if they do end up losing the test. Freddie and Murali bowled brilliantly in tandem with Harmison. The over which Murali got Katich was amazing he had everyone fooled including Boucher who missed an easy stumping.

Sydney pitch is doing the usual tricks, in a Test you need to win the toss and Bat as the pitch can do random things after that. World IX could win if there good enough but like I basically said the Pitch is now a Bowlers pitch.

No, it doesn't do anything random. It just turns more and more.

Well I watched the cricket yesterday (Sunday) and yes it did turn more but the bounce was more varible and the swing was random.

World XI not World IX
:mad :mad :help :mad :mad

In roman numerals:
XI = 11
IX = 9

Yeah man I know, I am not a dumb arse, just made a fricken typo.

it's not just you Ajay, there's about 50 other people in this thread who can't tell the difference between XI and IX

Variable, not random. The ball isn't moving unexpectedly, plus, the swing is mostly related to the weather conditions. The pitch itself has done little to aid the quicks. If it were random it would rarely move where the bowler wants it to move.
