Just makes England look even better this performance although I still think Australia are over-reliant on Warne and McGrath. If you look at the wickets they took in this match compared to McGill, it was the top order world class players rather than the tail.
McGrath and Warne are two of the greatest bowlers in the history of the game, why wouldn't you rely on them?

Lara was good today. Too bad he went out. He was the one who could have changed the match. Kallis is finally looking good, but this has come a bit too late now.
This is actually quite important, still. The West Indies are in the country in a week and South Africa in a couple of months. With Lara up and running we have a chance of getting a half decent series out of the WI, while
Kallis signifies some strength in the South African lineup, which we play six Tests and at least 10 ODIs against this summer.

West Indies I guarantee you will be a joke

last time they came here 5 0 they were beaten and just about every test they were It ran 3 days a few times they were bowled out for 50 thank god its not 5 tests
absolutely, and the way Sth Africa buckled against England last year shows good signs for Australia. i would be VERY surprised if we came out 2nd in any of the forthcoming series. our biggest threat would be the one day matches in new zealand, because, though not on test level, New zealand certainly are strong in terms of limited overs.

How barmyarmy means is that how Ponting bowled Warne for about 30 successive overs in one of the Ashes tests, and he didn't take many wickets maybe 1.

England = Absolute shyte against Spin, so why not bowl Warne? It's great in hindsight to say oh he bowled 30 overs on the trot and only picked up 1 wicket so why did he bowl him for so long. But if in those 30 overs he might have picked up a bag of 5 or 6 and no one would of commented on it

That's a bit of a generalisation. It's a bit like saying 'Australia = absolute shite against swing bowling'; oh, hold on...

(I'll probably get another negative rep now saying 'shut up you pom', eh, DS 4 Life? ).

Ah, this imo was a lame series, with the World stars disappointing completely. I am sure each of the individual teams of that World XI side would have performed far better than this.

We're more likely to get beaten by Sri Lanka in the VB Series.

Well what a crap series this turned out to be.Shame on the World IX.We wanted a decent series, and instead they give us some sub-standard rubbish.

Can you give me a link to this series involving a World IX you keep going on about? I can't find a trace of it!

Shame on the ICC rather .
The concept put in was bound to flop and even Malcolm Spped accepts it.
Also ther future of the Super Series in is doubt seeing as the Aussies dominated over the World XI in both forms of the game. ;)

Let me just say, to all those that moaned about Inzi not being included in the ODI team, he did a gr8 job in the test match didnt he? 0 and 1. Good job Inzi!

Mainly because they're going to have to retire sometime and I can't see Aus bowling many sides out cheaply once they do.
