I might check it out a game. I'll be up in Townsville towards the end of the tournament.
This starts soon. Warmup games have been going on this week, with the first game starting on Saturday, or various times late of Friday night/early Saturday morning, depending on where you are in the World.
I'm looking forward to seeing how the Somerset guys do for England and Ireland.

Here's hoping this is the breakthrough tournament for Unmukt Chand just as it was for Virat Kohli. Very promising cricketer and looks like he has his head screwed on right and his feet on the ground.

Yes ,there are separate rules for the Associates. Seems like they can field players who are of the age of 20.
Most U-19 captains and their deputies from India have gone on to represent India at the higest level: Kaif, Yuvraj, Sodhi, Patel, Pathan, Rayudu and Kohli among the names that the U-19 has thrown up to us.
We do have a goodish chance here. The last time the tournament was held in Australia, we lost the semi-final to Amla's RSA. And I think there is a mid-order batsman going by the name of Baba who is great potential for India.

I tipped bangladesh to do well last time and they didn't so I'm wary of doing so again but I still think they should do better than the full international squad. at u19 level they compete fine with most countries, it would be nice to see them better that and make the semi or something.
England seem to rely on Bell-Drummond too much batting wise. Good to see the Overton's doing well though. Jamie Overton and Topley as an opening bowling attack must be as good as anything anyone else has in the tournament. Just need to give them something to defend.
