ICC World T20 Bangladesh 2014

Finally the big boys are in action 2moro, I don't mind the associates getting expose & TV coverage in this cup - after all i've always believed that the T20 world cup is the tournament which the ICC needs to use to promote the game.

However they got fix the scheduling & re think the merit of these qualifiers, can't wait so long before a big match is played, even in a FIFA world cup while less fancied teams play in the group stage - you have big matches very soon in the tournament.

Great win by Hong Kong, makes Shakibs comments from a few days ago even more hilarious. I just can't understand why Bangladesh always talk themselves up given they are a very average side.

Cant really generalize the whole Bangladeshi team when it comes to talking themselves up. Some of them actually make quite sensible comments in the media

Shakib has always been the problem case - making cocky comments (and gestures). It it all comes down to that player's character. Some people just let success get to their heads and Shakib is not the only one. Cricketing world is scattered with such "characters" and some of them are quite legendary players. They just cant help being 'too full of themselves' :rolleyes

Perhaps they should do 4 groups of 4 - since that would suit the public's demand for "big" games and the associates demands for meaningful games against the full members...

India would be definitely boosted heavily if they beat Pakistan, and might actually have a decent to good tournament. But if we lose this, we are most likely not making the next round as we face Australia and West Indies next with shattered morale.

The presence of Dhoni, Yuvraj and Raina (Yuvi and Raina in subcontinental conditions) should even things up between sides. Our bowling is bad, but we might still compete well due to our batting riches in subcontinental conditions.

India favourites to win. If you will get Dhawan out, rohit will score, if u get kohli out, raina will score. If yuvraj, dhoni will. This is one hell of a batting lineup.

Batting alone cannot make you win. Bowlers have to perform. If spinners perform, pacers fail. If pacers perform spinners fail.

India Pakistan match (excitement with tension) on Day 1 of Super 10.
Is this just coincidence or marketing strategy by the ICC ?

Pak are the favourites, with ajmal who ever is there except may be raina it will be a miserly 4 overs, so thats like playing 16 overs. Also pak batting is clicking nowadays, so i would say they are the fav:)
its going to be a cracker anyway

If they were marketing it would be down the order to get enough hype built on, instead of using the best card first.

I agree with you addy but boom boom is in terrific form plus pak bowlers are excellent in T20's so it's going to be a excellent game as always.

Yes, get in there!!! :cheers

What an innings from Chigumbura! :clap some serious brute force on show. Just need the Netherlands to do us a favour now, tense stuff.

I don't see Ireland losing to the Dutch btw. They have a really good side. If Paul Stirling is out from today's game it would be a big bonus for the Zimbabwe fans.

I am loving how Pakistani fans think India is a clear winner and it is the other way around with Indians. Now that is something fresh going into an India-Pakistan encounter.
